Oh well good to have finally cleared that up Nessy. Apparently no other issues at the club. All good with culture, with list mgt, with list profile, with the numbers of injuries - just seven mutineers who decided to be stupid against advice. Thanks Nessy, yep case closed, no more comment. Move on.

Oh while you're here Nessy, bit off topic i know, but did you see the following statistics?

  • 4 players turning 19 this year and have played a total of 4 games
  • 2 players turning 20 his year and have played 3 games
  • ZERO players turning 21 this year
  • 6 players turning 22 this year and have played a total of 61 games with XON the "shining light" at the top with 18 games
  • 6 players turning 23 this year and have played 155 games with Oscar the main stay of this with 59 games
Let me repeat - the total number of games played by the players in their first 3 years of being on a list totals 7.

Which of the seven were responsible for that happening?

It has been well documented that play groups, kindergartens and primary schools are where Covid19 is being transferred and are the real hot spots in Perth.

Surely the club has "guidelines" in as to ensuring senior players who are parents stay in separate rooms (if not separate houses) and do not partake in any physical touching of affection of the children. It appears that there have been a large number of senior players who have ignored this guideline and I hope to read about the financial sanctions imposed on these senior players.

Minimisation of risk (by limiting social exposure) is not the same as elimination of Likelihood (By absolute isolation or elimination of/from any potential source).

Oh dear. You do realise we’re not enacting legislation here?

We’re asking players to stick to a TEAM ethos...so the teams we support, and often pay money to support, have a chance at success,,,no matter how remote.

This is not about ‘personal liberties’....its about being a ‘team player’.....and not jeopardising your team and your employers prospects.

Interesting use of “we”.

Its a group discussion....but if you want to ‘circle the wagons’ because you have nothing to contribute....go ahead.

It’s a group discussion on a team board that isn’t yours.

And you’ve been given a lot more latitude than any of us would be given on the Sydney board.

Are you still here? Be a team player and go back to your own team's board. Or do they find you condescending and vapid too?
You’re letting your supporter group down....most can see past the need to throw cans.......

Condescension? I thought I was being charitable.....

Ok I think it’s time to move on.

Thanks for the input.

Luke Edwards is a bit sad with his 11 games thus far at the ripe old age of 20, i know he already has the hairline of his old man.
Would have more if his groins weren't so shot

Still not sure where I fully land on this one.

It seems a tad harsh.

Imagine an office telling you that you can't go fo the pub this year as they don't want to risk you getting covid and spreading if to other employees.

Covid is inevitable. We should probably just be educating and setting some loose optional guidelines, but if they DO go to nightclubs etc to then self report, wear masks at training for the few days after the visit, take rat tests each morning before going to training. Etc etc. Ie just be safe and smart about it. Open communication. Real trust.

Currently our culture promotes secrecy and lying like the players have overly strict parents at the helm.

It doesn't seem overly sustainable or good culture to me....

Nisbett putting extra mayo on his presser with "the club is devastated" is pure theatre. A few fringe players and 2 x 18 year olds went out after a tough loss. Big f!cken deal! It's not Michael Johnson caught in possession of cocaine on Murray Street.

Nisbett's just drawing attention away from the failure of the football department and Simpson. Patrick Naish and young Bazzo and Chesser should have been sheltered through this, not hung out for judgement. They didn't overpay veterans until they're in their early 30s. His football department did.

Also a decent coach would have told Nisbett to back off and leave them alone, I'll caution the younger blokes one on one and give older blokes like Waterman a cook in private.

The 7 players have put out a statement

The reason for our presence at the nightclub was due to doctor's orders. Our club had been provided with a medical certificate. I have been diagnosed as suffering from a work related injury and as a result I am on sick leave till further notice. I will not go into any details as to my medical condition as I wish to keep that strictly private. I am doing my best to work with the club and my doctors so I can recover from my injury. I intend to return back to training as soon as I am fit and able

id strongly recommend watching ben harveys up late video on Trevor and all the crap he has presided over…
Starts strong with if Putin pushed the button two things would survive, cockroaches and Trevor….

Then outlines 33 years of events he mostly has had control over since footy manager in 89 and John Todd bet $400 on an eagles game while coach…. Somehow he is linked to dani laidleys stalking charge but there’s plenty of things missing … good to watch just for old times sake of when we wrecked stuff but still won…
