Either way, his appeal was not demonstrative or aggressive. I thought it was quite polite actually.

To me the ump called it not because he had to, but because he could.

The umps are losing touch with the feel of the game imo, and the precious interpretation of the rule will put further distance between them and the fans. Wait until they call it in the emotional cauldron of a GF.......

The AFL hasn't hit the mark with Friday night footy this year. Another FNF game I've found boring as switched off from early.
