Impossible to know how serious it is from what Bell said. They will err on side of caution I’d imagine. Might be worth putting in in the gym for the rest of the year alright and let him put on a few kg

A ******* kidney injury?

Fed Up Reaction GIF

Fingers crossed it doesn't hugely impact him building his fitness base and bulking up.

Obviously the ideal situation is doing that while playing WAFL but maybe it'll give him the opportunity to hit 2023 with a head of steam.

I actually think it might have happened in the first quarter when he soccered the ball into the square for Henry to finish.
The South defender smashed into him very hard to try & knock him off the ball. He took the hit really well & kept his balance. Was impressed as I was just behind the fence where it happened & there was a real solid thunk of body on body.
After that he disappeared off the field for quite a while & Sturt took his place as deepest forward.
Obviously he got the all clear & came back on but perhaps the extent of internal injury didn’t become apparent till after the game?
Nasty stuff. Let’s hope he’s ok.
Makes a nonsense of people who say players need to bulk up to play seniors. Just as likely if not more to get injured at the lower levels.

Nah, in the video, Bell said he'll re-scan in two weeks and if all good, he'll be back soon after
Yeah one positive is that Nod could be back after the bye. Not a bad result.
While it’s frustrating that amiss is now out, in reality he’s not a major factor for us this year.
So it shouldn’t really affect how we go later this season.

Glass half empty - could be close to a whole season of development out the window
Glass half full - if it is the whole season, it's gotta to be basically just contact right? Can get him doing an 8 month pre-season
To the weight room!....but maybe no sit-ups, bench-press, rows and Russian Twists! =P

I guess that depends on the health, fitness and form of our other med - tall forwards. Because, you know, we've got so many of them and they're all so durable!

We really need to get at least one in the MSD.
