I honestly wouldn't have a clue. You've got the big three states: Victoria, WA, and SA. I'm not sure NSW/ACT, QLD, TAS or NT would have enough quality players to form a strong team, so they could form a formidable combined team called The Allies. If anyone wants to have a go of this, I'd love to see it.

Victoria

FB: Stewart, Weitering, Docherty
HB: Sicily, Moore, Sinclair
C: McCluggage, Miller, Langdon
HF: Petracca, Lynch, Martin
FF: Curnow, J Cameron, Greene
FOL: Gawn, Oliver, Bontempelli
INT: Parish, Darcy, Walsh, Gresham

Probably forgot some players too

There are some very unlucky players

No Fyfe or Walters? Tough calls to make, I guess.

Fyfe hasn’t played this year
Yeah fair enough.

Instead of a split round, I'd have the two-state of origin games during a bye after round 11, one on Saturday night and one on Sunday. Vic v WA or SA (whoever is considered the 2nd strongest team), WA or SA v Allies. The loser of Vic game plays the winner of the Allies game next year and it keeps rotating on that basis.

Not perfect but

New South Wales
B: Phil Davis (GWS), Dougal Howard (StK), Harry Cunningham (Syd) (GWS)
HB: Zac Williams (Car), Dane Rampe (Syd), Braeden Campbell (Syd)
C: Isaac Smith (Gee), Jacob Hopper (GWS), Harry Perryman (GWS)
HF: Nick Blakey (Syd), Taylor Walker (Ade), Isaac Heeney (Syd)
F: Errol Gulden (Syd), Tom Hawkins (Gee), Josh Bruce (WB)
Fol: Jarrod Witts (GC), Jack Steele (StK), Callum Mills (Syd)
IC: Luke Breust (Haw), Tom Green (GWS), Harrison Himmelberg (GWS), Matthew Flynn (GWS)

Potenial Subs: Jeremy Finlayson (GWS), Michael Gibbons (Car), James Bell (Syd), Todd Marshall (PA)

Coach: John Longmire (Syd)

This is a team GC2015 created last year so there would be some changes into 2022. For starters Blakey is a half back now but you get the general idea.

Also Matthew Kennedy did not make the cut last year but he would be in the team in 2022 as he is a much better player now.

Some of my favourite footy memories is watching SOO when I was a kid, we won’t see it again unfortunately, the concept is dead.

Assuming you can go with birth or childhood as origin, what would a NSW side look like these days? Hawk was born and raised in the Riverina

Jeremy Cameron in, Hawkins turfed

Is Caleb Daniel from the Victoria or WA?

Saad ahead of Sinclair if Caleb Daniel cannot play for Vics
