As good as Butler's pressure is he only keeps his spot if he can go at a goal a game or better.

Hopefully he's found his form and will be better for it.

Pretty similar in the end. They got close 60 odd each before we kicked away with 6 goals in the last.

I would like to see Lienart be more accountable on defensive transitions. Maybe I'm being a bit critical but these past 2 weeks he hasn't really been good with team defence. He looks for the ball in his hands so he can kick but this impacts his positioning and his willingness to roll up and take the next man. I feel maybe that's his way into the senior team again.

On a separate note, good to see Peris have a solid game from the wing and Butler to hit the scoreboard especially with his first half being played mainly in the midfield. Butler did play a different role when forward though in the VFL, playing closer to goal like he did in 2020.

Would love to get some insight from the club about why Oscar Adams, Bytel and Kylie haven't been playing any vfl.

Bytel has missed 2 games this year (from a possible 9 - Round 1 and Round 10).

Both Kyle and Adams last played May 7th. Sandy has only played 2 games since then.

Yeah bizarre. Hate to add to the conspiracy theory. But particularly with two guys close to our best (theoretically), and two guys we’re all keen to see. Don’t owe us anything etc etc, but would be nice to know

Stats in the VFL mean nothing IMO , Hunter has had 6 disposals , Two kicks missed the target by a margin , one kick was smothered , one was just a hack kick to no one , don't mean to sound harsh but he or billings are not getting back in on current form
