Very high quality match between Hurkacz and Kyrgios last night, obviously both dominated on serve but when a return came back there were some great rallies especially in the tie breaks.

If your going to lose this is the way to do it. Playing well but your opponent just slightly better when it mattered. Hurkacz is a quality grass courter himself. IMO is a chance at a semi again.

Shame for Nick to bow out when I don't think he lost serve all week.
He wouldnt be too disappointed. Got quite a few matches under the belt so should be ready to go once Wimbledon starts and is playing decent. He lost because Herbert was slightly better not because he imploded. It was close enough that Nick would feel he's a big chance if they face eachother again.

Very interesting to see Kyrgios playing tournaments in 4 consecutive weeks, potentially 5 if he makes a deep run at Wimbledon. Looks like he's very serious about getting back into the top 20.

Also odd that any Australian chooses to play the European grasscourt leadups instead of the English ones, I don't think I've ever seen anyone else do that.

Believe it when I see it, until he gets a coach he'll ever really be serious about it. He won't go far at Wimbledon anyway as 5 set tennis is completely different to 3 set.

Ranking, guy like Thompson might not get into Eastbourne but get into Mallorca instead. Although, that might be different for this year.

Nick would of got an appearance fee

He cannot even train or focus for more than 2 hours on court. How does he expect to win a singles gs playing bo5.

Exactly playing back to back 5 set matches if he wins a round or two that’s more than I expect

He likes grass so probably trying to cash in on the minimal grass court tennis the ATP tour has.

Also these ones before Wimbledon have points. He ain’t losing points at Wimbledon he rarely lasts anyway

He is losing points because he has points coming off.

Surely it can’t be that many? He barely lasts at Wimbledon lately. What round did he last r2 or 3?

90, retired against Felix in the 3rd round
