Some of you need to chill out, be better than geelong supporters.

We dont need to wish injuries on anyone or hope someone evens it up.

Just be content in the fact we win when it really matters.

Also the thread is about Stewart and Prestia

What mother will let their kids play AFL with thugs like this. To run through someone like that should be 10 weeks. Prestia should sue him for assault.
alright we're all upset and angry but this is p funny

Should get 4-6 weeks surely!

Wasn’t going for the ball, deliberate, high contact with Prestia concussed and falling over himself.

With all the new rules being introduced every season surely there has to be a send off rule introduced. Can’t go knocking out one of the oppo’s best players early in the 1st and then still getting to play out the rest of the game yourself.

Having watched it a few times, it's actually a bit worse than I first thought. I assumed Stewart was running full speed into the contest, missed the ball and decided to lay a (very) careless bump.

But if you watch closely, he slows down to judge the bounce of the ball, see quite clearly that the bounce will favour Prestia, and that he is out of the contest and then accelerates into the contest to hit Prestia (when he is in the air and completely defenceless). If he was playing the game fairly, he would have turned around and chased after the ball. It's a conscious decision to lay an off-the ball hit.

But he's a good bloke and very remorseful. I recommend he gets sent to bed with no dessert.

Also, you can see him fling his arm ouf to make contact with the elbow/shoulder. Shows it was deliberate as he could have kept it tucked in and not made contact or minimal contact at best. Absolutely lined him up.

Remember the melts when cotchin kicked racist tex in the shins?

The melts over this incident will be smaller. Whankly to touch on it briefly on 360. I hope slobbo gives it to him.

If the AFL are serious about stamping out these intentionally high incidents, they need to send straight to the tribunal with a recommendation of 6 weeks. In addition to that, whatever time Prestia spends on the sidelines, is to be ADDED to the initial suspension. Sounds like Prestia will be out for 3 weeks.. So Initial suspension 6 weeks PLUS 3 Weeks that Prestia is on the sidelines.

Sounds VERY harsh ? Maybe - but stamps out dog acts like Stewart. That could have been completely avoided and Stewart plays on, Prestia plays on and everyone is happy...

The fact that Scott went straight up to Stewart at 1/4 time with high praise and then AGAIN at the full time siren is a very bad look.

What part? All my boys play soccer only one kid in my boys’ years at school play AFL. Mums see this s**t and say no way.
the suing for assault part. Agree with all the other stuff; AFL need to give him a long holiday if they are serious about stamping it out

No tone or intonation on a forum. Still we had the cops go on the ground and tell a guy that he strike someone again he will be arrested in our local league. With the right lawyer Prestia would not be without a case!

The question I have which is the one that should see him get a lengthy ban is why he isn’t positioned to tackle or prevent the ball from being distributed. In most instances you would expect the player to take the ball and prepare to tackle them. Prestia only hits it at the last minute and Stewart is already looking to take his head off.
