Agree, massive night for him. I actually think he'll have a greater impact up forward with Bailey's absence but it's definitely time for him to tear a game apart
Nobody in our midfield had a good game, but Rayner at least looked like he was trying. After the first quarter was over, it seemed like he was the only one winning clearances for us the rest of the way while everyone else got smashed.Disappointed in Rayner’s game tonight overall, especially an incredibly quiet second half in terms of disposals. Tackled extremely well and had 8 of those, got a goal and an assist, should have had 2 goals. He is definitely showing enough to say there is plenty to come but he needs to get a bit smarter around the ball over the next year or so. To be fair the Demons midfield looked in unstoppable form in that match.
Seems like you overrate the lions and Rayner just a tad. Fritsch kicking another 3 in his sleep taking his tally to 32. Not bad for a team with the worst inside 50 efficiency in the comp.Disappointed in Rayner’s game tonight overall, especially an incredibly quiet second half in terms of disposals. Fritsch has been win the AA squad. Only 6 players of that draft have done the same. Fritsch very may well make it again. 6 in a granny, close to winning the norm. Definitely at 4. He showed you guys why he is a tough match up. Too good aerially playing on a small and too nimble playing on a big. 5 shots on goal. standard.Fritsch at 4 and Spargo ahead of Rayner?
The fella has clearly lost the plot, no point arguing with him

You guys have really embarrassed yourself with this Rayner hype. The guy is firing on all cylinders for 15 touches a game and 0.9 goals per game?
Time to re-assess him I think
What fuss?Watched Spargo again today. Still dont see what the fuss is all about.
Yep but bigfooty and the commentators love to s**t can Charlie...Charlie Cameron kicked 55 last year and has 30 so far this year. So will also likely have back to back 50 goal seasons, injury permitting.yep
Lol, so you're changing draft years now. classic. I'll take that as a win. But yeah the players you listed are better than Fritsch. Not even going to deny it. But you mention Steele? Steele is 1 year older than Fritsch. So you got that wrong. And truscott finishes is a very poor way to classify players considering May, Lever, Petracca, Gawn and Oliver would occupy the top 5 at every club, at least for 2021. So if Fritsch comes 12th in ours, that's 7th at every other club.Fritsch is from the 2014 draft crop in terms of age you bloody ning nong. If he was worth pick 4 in any draft, there wouldn’t be at least 9-10 players ahead of him from his own draft crop.
Petracca, Brayshaw, De Goey, Darcy Moore, Lever, Heeney, Steele, Touk Miller is 8 players who are clearly rated a lot more valuable than Fritsch.
Neal-Bullen and Langdon were from that draft crop and in Frisch’s best ever season, 2021, they finished 6th and 8th in the Truscott medal, well ahead of Fritsch, who finished 12th. So there is another two who your club think are better than Fritsch. And they are in a position to know.
McGovern has had a bigger contract. Dale and Daniel from the Dogs have been selected in the All Australian team. Harris Andrews and Dougal Howard are the main KPD’s for their respective teams, both strong teams.
Jeremy Finlayson’s overall career numbers are barely below those of Fritsch - see below. The main difference between their careers is Finlayson had to misfortune to run into Dylan Grimes in his Grand Final and didn’t get near it and Fritsch had the pleasure of Bailey Williams dropping 6 goals into his lap in his Grand Final, where he set a world record for goals that could have been scored by anyone who was in his position.
Jayden Short won a best & fairest in a premiership team.
Jack Sinclair is flying.
Fritsch would be lucky to go far above about pick 14 if they spilled his draft crop now. And as we will see in the next 2-3 years, about that many players from the 2017 draft crop will come to be seen as more valuable players than Fritsch.
Pick 4 indeed.

Rayner, meh. 14 touches and a goal. But hey, he's getting better lol. 4 possessions in a half of footy getting plenty of CBA's
You seem to be a pleasant person.Lions spewing they passed on O’Brien who slid all the way to pick 10 hahaha eat s**t!
Thanks brother. You seem to be a pleasant person.
Thanks brother.
You too x aha
Shows how oblivious you are and your ignorance if you think Rayner is firing on all cylinders. He's building nicely and still has a massive amount of improvement left in him.Fritsch has been win the AA squad. Only 6 players of that draft have done the same. the hardest skill in footy is finding the ball. i have question marks over his ability to not go missing for large portions of the game.Shows how oblivious you are and your ignorance if you think Rayner is firing on all cylinders. The beauty of players like Rayner is they don't need to find a lot of it to have an impact. He's only been getting about 15 touches a game but he's definitely impacted. We aren't expecting him to go out and get 25 a game, he's not that type of player at the moment. Maybe if he was full time mid you'd expect that of him.the hardest skill in footy is finding the ball. i have question marks over his ability to not go missing for large portions of the game.

God the kid is getting the luxury of having very low expectations on his performanceThe beauty of players like Rayner is they don't need to find a lot of it to have an impact. He's expected to play his part just like anyone else in the team and he's doing that. Has been one of our better performers over the last couple of months.God the kid is getting the luxury of having very low expectations on his performance
