Tomljanovic was the much better player in set 3 but first 2 sets fairly even, barbora just got the key points in 1st set which made it look more lopsided then it was on the scoreboard.

Kubler is coming down a level from his 2nd round match, hes playing at his ranking level today, probably goes down in 4 here.

Ajla was playing quite well - even early when she was losing. Good on her. We'll see what she can do against Swiatek in next round. Nothing to lose.

nope, has been placed there solely because of what she did at age 15, bad scheduling from wimbledon

You never know if tanking Nick will come out though.

Kubler just took it to a very gutsy 5th. Just got to play with freedom here, let's go for it

or someone like Ajla who will drop like 30+ places in rankings by not being able to defend those points (but doing just as well this year). Still prize-money and prestige might console them.

She is a great talent but she doesn't need to have all of her matches on CC. Wouldn't have happened to the 11th seed at any other Slam (even the US) and strange it happened here.

again its purely based on what she did at age 15. Wimbledon promoters need to realise theres more to a player then 1 match

Well 'organisers' rather than 'promoters' but even the Feds, Nadals, Djokers, Serenas & Venuses (in the past) need to realise being scheduled on CC (especially if playing some scrub) is not an automatic entitlement. What's wrong with being placed on Court 1 or 2 if there are better matches that deserve to be on Centre? Even if you are considered a "legend"?
 
Kubler up 2-1 (was 2-0) in final set. Sock was top ten player a few years back before his decline but has been coming back well over past year. Would be a HUGE win if Jase can do this.
 
been following kubler match more closely, will be massive win for kubler's career hopefully a kickstart that will get him going for a few injury free years

What a story for Kubler. Was playing itf events (3rd tier pro events) just a few months back.

Just a bit fitter than Jack in the end
