Excluding him talking about what actually happened on the field last night, there were some giant red flags flying in that press conference.

Within the first minute of the press conference he talks about how he will reflect on various aspects of how he coached.
Speaks of basically giving the players ******* homework to think on if they understand how the game shifts.
JHF might have to come through the VFL? What?
Short term objective to focus on is being more disciplined. No, not with their disposal but with the free kicks they give away. ??????????????????
Logic for having Ben forward is that "we wanted to have a look". That's pure arse cancer. Not that we believe his future could be there, not to add a string to his bow while short term fixing structure, not even just to fill a ******* gap so that the forward line can function. Just wanted to have a look.

I just don't know how to respond to that. I haven't listened to a post match presser in a while but it was wild.

I have sat in the coach’s box with a number of coaches over the years. Mark Williams is hands down by the length of the Flemington straight the best game day coach I have seen up close! Choco was also amazing with the young players at Werribee, and bringing them together as a team. Would be very happy with Williams or Clarkson!!

No. But if a meeting hasn't been scheduled with at least Sonja, Ben, Nobes, Stevo and Walshy for first thing this morning I'd be very pissed off. And as much as I'd hate to say it, I reckon the AFL would want in on it too. They may be campaigners, but the unwatchable footy Noble has is playing is shitting all over their game.

Don't want Simmo. Cronyism will keep Snoz in a job that he has proven to be subpar in to date.

I really would like the review to end in Walsh saying righto guys need to tweak here and there but basically stay on coarse for no other reason than if it’s not the case it puts us another 2years behind.
Having said that it’s looking less and less likely, have no idea who should take over and I don’t say this purely because of Noble, as long as Roos is not involved I will be a lot happier.

I like David Noble but his time is up. I am an optimist and no matter who our opponent is I usually think that if we play at our best we are a chance of winning. That has changed this season, I feel like we have no hope of winning and pray that we lose by less than 50 points. This cannot continue.

Williams would be my choice if I had any say in the matter. But Clarkson, Simpson, Buckley and Cameron, plus potentially one or two others would be in the mix as well. If you look at Melbourne, they are able to fit two former senior coaches into their cap as well as Goodwin (Williams being one of them). That structure seems to have worked for them and it appears that it can be done economically.

Agreed, if the players aren’t behind him then no matter what he does it won’t change one iota.
It will just cause more chaos for another year or two.
We can not afford to be puss on the field for a decade like some other clubs have, keeping Nobes (losing top line talent because of him) ensures we do and thus exposes us to the whims of the AFL.

I stopped listening to them about a month into the season. I would always listen to post match pressers. This guy repeats the same talking points every single week with no real solutions on how to fix the mess.

I know he isn’t the only issue. Early on I was saying on here he needs an assistant who can implement a game plan and tactics, teach it through training and nail it on game day. Where by Noble can manage the players, their welfare and their form etc.

From my perspective, the club and board should of seen this and addressed it before it got out of hand. They dropped the ball when they kept hearing “trust the system”.

Same here. I always used to listen to the post match pressers, win lose or draw. But dropped about 8 weeks ago

Out of the 4 mentioned only Clarkson would be best...Buckley doesn't want to coach and has stated it, Simmo l dont think could do much as like C. Scott he was handed a pretty good team to start with and l Cameron had all those years with a quality side but couldn't get the job done when he should have....

Did someone pick up a sense of resentment to our 2021 number 1 draft pick from Noble’s presser yesterday when asked about JHF & his pending return to the side ?
Noble had the nerve to say “he’s missed a few weeks & might have to come back via the VFL” ?! ….
I mean …. WTF ? Why would you say that unless you & JHF had some bad blood or dislike for one another?
I’m starting to think that a lot of the “ the noble apology-gate , the news coming out of the club about our young players being dissatisfied , the tantrums , lip dropping , bad body language & general reverse form from TT , Powell etc .. has a lot more than has been let out to do with our number 1 recruit in JHF….. ?
