The players have been told to over correct. Our entries weren't great in the first but at least we were moving it forward and getting field position. Tidy up the kicks but keep going forward. It's like they've been told, "easy boys this is Melbourne we can't go forward from a mark or free kick because they'll be set up. Only on the run or from a turnover", at quarter time.

Drew marks the footy 40m out from goal at one stage that quarter and passes to DBJ 65m out. DBJ passes to Boak 55m out. Boak to Marshall 40m out again, ball is spoiled, Melbourne rebound. What's the logic there? Just take the first shot, stop trying to find the perfect pass and the perfect player in the perfect spot everytime.
