Not doubting what c4 is saying as he is normally spot on with his info. This time especially the part it will be kens call more than likely. But it's not over just yet, kens manager is still got the feelers out to see if there is anything better for Ken moving foward beyond next year
Remember he is NOT getting an extension beyond 2023. Would ken take up an offer of Senior assistant at Gws overseeing/guiding their new coach( yze) on big $$$ multi year deal? just saying anything can still happen

If the board doesn't have the balls to take this decision out of Hinkleys hands then the horse has bolted. Pathetic. This shouldn't even be up to Hinkley. My god am I dreaming this shit? It's insane.

Its such a long shot that its not even worth entertaining. He has nothing to offer, doesn't do anything in the box, no gameplan. Theres no way hes gonna be sitting in another box as a 'senior assistant', drinking coke by himself behind the senior coach.

The only way to get rid of him is to make it extremely uncomfortable for him to be here. then he retires.

Imagine if Chad Wingard tried to stand his ground like this

The only way to get rid of him is to sack him.

Considering I don't care if my membership is revoked I'll probably hurl some very hard truths at him as he walks off at the Showdown.

Geez we might get to part seven by the end of the day.

Wish there was some way to actually be listened too, to put across the emotion, the indisputable facts, the fear for our club.

Media narrative seems to generated from one side only you would think a decent media might dig on the other side of the tree.
With Koch due to speak tonight we 100% will.

As he walks off the ground with that dumb f**k half smirk on his face and his annoyingly ungainly effeminate duck walk.

I sit in the western stand and have done this at almost every break for the last 3 weeks. Given it to Basset as well. Doesn’t go down well with the happy clappers. Or security. I’m just careful not to swear so that they can’t kick me out.

Just look at the leadership of the club.

The president is a Sydney theatre-going blow-in for whom the club is a vanity project to pander to his ego and sustain his self-narrative of working class boy made good in the big smoke.

The coach is a stubborn, tactically-inept bogan who would burn the joint to the ground before suffering a hit to his pay packet.

The CEO is a spineless seat warmer who's only there because he's been around the joint forever and we couldn't afford anyone better.

The football manager may have shown some early promise but has been worn down and has mentally checked out.

The captain is a B-grade plodder who likes living his life and fears rocking the boat will end his chances of eking out another 1-2 years of an AFL career.

Our games record holder and spiritual leader values being a good person rather than a successful footballer as if both aren't possible.

We are fools for expecting change.

sure, why not. I even think some of the 'dirty' or 'weird' tactics posted in this thread are good ideas.

The reality is they look at the supporters with disdain, and once they're gone w their money they'll never be back. so who cares?

Yet gets into greyhounds with ken [emoji848]

You can be mates with someone whilst also acknowledging they're not good enough at their job to be worth keeping around.

He's like a Jakovasaur from South Park

If C4 is right about the board and the playing group, then the only questions for Ken are whether another year of supporter discontent is worth the undoubted toll it takes on him and his family and whether his longevity in the game is better protected by an honourable stepping down now or a non-renewal in 12 months.

If it transpires that batting on deprived us of Clarkson- I will never forgive Ken. But change for change’s sake when Clarkson (or Hardwick) is not an option, can’t be justified where it would truly alienate the playing group and threaten our financial stability.

If I were Ken, I would give the club my ok to speak to Clarkson. If he wants the job I would step aside. If not, I’d bat on if I believed we could make a GF in 2023 because only that saves him.

This is a crisis but it needs calm heads. People saying they will give up following Port or watching AFL all together if Hinkley stays are over emotional, unstable and hypocritical bed wetters who should be kept away from crisis decisions and their rantings ignored. If you care so much to use that hyperbole, the club obviously means a lot to you and your hyperbole is either disingenuous or biting your nose off to spite your face.

I want Hinkley to step down if that means Clarkson or Hardwick. But I was there almost every time the tarps were rolled out and next year I’ll be there come Hinkley or high water. I don’t really care about the bed wetters- them leaving will just make it easier to get grand final tickets which I hope to be collecting in 13 months whether Ken or someone else is coach.

Mate, they're currently 8-12 with a separate 5 game and 4 game losing streak despite top 4 expectations. Forget this fanciful idea that he needs to make a grand final next year to save his job. They squeak into 8th spot and he'll be guaranteed a 2 year extension. Heck, at this point i'm not even convinced if he misses finals next year that they'll get rid of him. Close enough is good enough - permeating through the whole fûcking club.

Keep fighting the good fight. Get stuck right in next game. Wish I sat in that area

Hinkley is the Jono Brown of coaches.

A reputation massively inflated that does not match up with actual numbers and achievements, a list very few actually read.
At least Brown won 3 flags as a player. There's more chance of Stickerman being invited to Ken's Christmas party, than there is of Ken winning a premiership.

Some of the defeatist attitudes are a bit disappointing. Sometimes if you want change, you have to fight for it.
Look at the uproar that sticker-man caused. Keep sending those emails. Keep making yourselves heard.

Telling yourself you don't care anymore isn't convincing. You obviously care. We all do.

I'll start believing again when Kochie is gone.

I think when he goes the security for Ken will go.

Kochie must become the fall guy in the 'Football Program' review.

It's time for the skywriter.

If you're willing to get it organised I'm more than happy to chip in for it, and I'm sure I won't be the only one.
