I've posted this before but he was at an East End restaurant the night after our Sydney game with a table full of Swan's supporters. He wasn't wearing any Port gear and didn't respond well to me and Dingle saying his name and giving him a thumbs up as we walked past.

I know 'sack koch' is probably too 4d chess for most people but thats the real move. Theres no real point blaming Hinkley for this mess. You embarass Koch nationally and with his mates in Sydney and things will change very quickly at the club.

Nobody in Sydney gives a shit about Hinkley and we know the hoops the AFL/Mcguire media will jump through to defend him. Plus 'sack hinkley' has already been done.

I blame Koch for their supporter base. What they said on FC is spot on, he gives them a "tough guy" sugar hit every now and then and it gets them fired up.

I do feel for them in a sense. They think they're a really strong club, but much like St Kilda, they are in no mans land and have been for some time, despite winning the occasional final.

As opposed to being in Hell’s basement for much of the last 20 years.

The atmosphere at the club from Ken through to the coaches and players is one that places emphasis on everyone being happy and "connected." The fact that the footy dept were upset by Koch's comments is the evidence you need to be clear that there is absolutely zero ruthlessness in the organisation. Ken and Co have fostered this environment for too long. Everyone is comfortable and life is good, regardless of results. They pay lip service to being accountable for performance, because lets be honest, there are only consequences for performance when Ken doesn't like you (Wingard, Ladhams, Hayes etc). How on earth DBJ has not been dropped this year is staggering. Boak's *ing doco personified it too. Winning footy games is not the priority. I understand that connection and people pulling in the same direction is incredibly important, but it should not come at the cost of ruthlessly doing whatever it takes to try and win and be better.

How does a club let the coach and his cronies run a campaign to support a guy who has achieved nothing in 10 years? Where is Richardson in this? There is a dearth of leadership and its not going to get better until either Ken goes or Koch does and someone else comes in and flicks Ken and re-sets the priorities of the footy club

There was a time when supporters kept clubs accountable, but when you have the media feeding egos and treating supporters as if we are just bottom feeders without a clue, then the environment of a club becomes unbalanced. There is a definite artificial insulation surrounding our coaching dept. and playing group where The Creed is all but forgotten and only fit for the supporters to follow

Not sure if Caroline Wilson has changed her email address but I sent a short email to her asking her to bring to light some of the failings of Hinkley, not just the positives, I explained a few of the obvious points, record against top 8 & top 4 sides. How it's been said Ken hasn't had a ruck all year when Lycett played in the majority of the first 5 losses and Ken chooses not to play Hayes and few other points.

If it goes through it will probably be on death ears but you never know if you don't try. Play them at their own game might work.

The email hasn't come back as failed, so just maybe.

The board puts us in an unforgivable situation as supporters if they keep Ken. Making finals next year would be a bad result. We'd be barracking for the opposition every week, which means we might as well give up all together.

We know what Hinkley won't do, and that's resign.

Not sacking him will be the single worst decision ever made by our club. Our greatest legends who became coaches - Fos, Jack, Russ, Choco were all tapped on the shoulder or near enough to it. This fool, and that's what he is, couldn't set a game plan for an amateur club. As I have said before, he's Peter Sellers in Being There., but somehow he has supporters. Including Mr President, David Koch.

When I think about what Bruce Weber gave for our club, I feel dirty that such a gutless crumb is now sitting in his chair.
