YepMilburn's eyes wasn't on the ball and Cripps wasn't going around clapping and smiling like a psychopath. And that hit was was a lot bigger.
Pretty poor comparison

Milburn's defintiely later and SOS even more vulnerable, and no clapping thank god, but it's that class of incident.Milburn's eyes wasn't on the ball and Cripps wasn't going around clapping and smiling like a psychopath. And that hit was was a lot bigger.
Somewhat oddStrange one
It’s so frustrating seeing this example from years ago in every tribunal thread. Cotchin didn’t intend to go high and he collected the ball on the way through. He was creating/protecting space for him to gather and give. The rules were also different then. They still won't lol. And Cotchin actually won possession of the ball.

when will it get through to people?
this stuff causes brain injuries
no it is not murder, but it is debilitating, you just can't see it now and Ah Chee will seem like he is back to his old self, it will happen in the decades to come.
Well it does appear you have significant experience with head knocks.when will it get through to people?

No, when I lived in Richmond I was walking to work down Swan Street when I felt something hit me in the back of the head. When I turned around it was Cotchin, he was laughing and had just thrown an empty UDL at my head.Look at modern successful captains like Cotchin and Gawn.
They 'Fly the flag' by cracking a joke or a smile with their teammates, not by cracking the skulls of oppos.
POTY.No, when I lived in Richmond I was walking to work down Swan Street when I felt something hit me in the back of the head. When I turned around it was Cotchin, he was laughing and had just thrown an empty UDL at my head.
I asked him why and he just slurred “leAderschip!!” And charged at me, trying to fight me. I easily disposed of him with a karate chop to the top of the noggin, knocking him unconscious instantly. Then Dimma the fearless leader told me to jump the fence and see what happens, so I did and I tried to roundhouse kick him into next week but turns out it was a hologram. Next thing I know he’s king hitting me with a steel chair. Luckily, his feeble old man muscles imparted about as much force as the AFL tribunal did to the Cripps case so I turned around and delivered a stone cold stunner for the ages.
Cotchin and Dimma are sniper dogs, everytime I tried to walk that way to work this would happen.
Tim Kelly gets a week for a tackle that ‘had the potential’ to cause injury.
Cripps chose to bump, and actually did cause injury. Zero weeks.
How does this work?
What do the umpires have to do with this ?Well he should of gotten 2 but all I can say is good luck to Carlton because there is no way in hell the AFL will let this slide and they will get their pound of flesh some how. Wouldnt be surprised if Carlton get absolutely reamed by the umps this weekend
Be good for them to finally have some closure. They still won't lol. And Cotchin actually won possession of the ball.
I don't know why that keeps getting thrown around. It's irrelevant. What do the umpires have to do with this ?
They didn’t even pay a free kick for that incident
Who?
Country footballers, don't have any relevance to the AFL...
Another example of AFL corruption.Great news for the blues
Terrible look for the AFL.
No wonder we have clubs like pies and crows go through trouble with cover ups and saying one thing whilst doing another they’re just mimicking the parent business.
I have no Ill feelings for the blues it’s actually helps the dockers if they win the next two.
But the afl is a load of s**t that’s has no set rules besides making money and protecting assets !
You presume I think it was accidents well do you?View attachment 1473836
This was assessed as “low impact” last year.
I presume you think it was accidents well?
It ultimately doesn't matter what I think, so good luck to Carlton, butLove the tricky wording you attempted there. So your contention is that Cripps only jumped because Ah Chee was there and only pretended to contest the ball because he knew he was late? There's some supposition on your part there and the video doesn't really bear that out.
Agreed. Carlton fans thinking that anyone who thinks its a wrong decision must hate Carlton.Take away your team allegiances, this was a farcical outcome for the AFL and a terrible look for the game.
I don't think football is for you unfortunately.that's the era that rubbish belongs in, entirely my point!
it was absolutely thuggery from Cripps, and won't be forgotten
The Ah Chee family certainly won't forget the sickeningfeeling they must havehad watchign that
I believe I was the one to first introduce the Cotchin bump on Shiel into this thread. For what it’s worth, I didn’t think Cotchin deserved to be suspended for the incident. At least now oppo fans can stop sooking about the cotchin shiel bump because apparently incidental concussion when the ball is your objective is okay.
