Not looking good for Sundays game

No MDB
Angwin broken fibula
Peatling 2-3 weeks with a hammy

Everyone’s punching bag Brander likely to get another game

Preuss nothing major with his ankle luckily but still misses because of the suspension

Briggs missed yesterday with illness so will be needed for the pies game
They might as well give Derksen a run instead of Brander and Phil for Sproule. Use Keeffe as a utility.

3rd July is the 1 year anniversary of Buckley's ACL... He can't be too far off being ready to roll.
Why has there been no news on Briggs? It is going to infuriate me when we trade him to say a Geelong for a 3rd round pick and he plays every week.
How many more torn hamstrings away from retirement is Brent Daniels? 2?

Is it just me or are we getting the same volume of soft tissue injuries as Essendon did during their supplements scandal?

I personally don't care who the next coach is I would rather pay Heath Shaw & Alan Didak to coach us and pump 50% of our soft cap in to our medical team just to keep our players on the field.

Latest injury list. Good news is that Peatling is a test. Also Aleer and Stone getting closer.

Bad news is that 4 players are "TBC" or "indefinite" - Callaghan, Daniels, de Boer (3 week long concussion?) and Perryman, apart from Bobby's open-ended situation. Buckley still 2-3 weeks - hasn't he been that for 2-3 weeks?

Honestly would be fine with Stone just missing the rest of the year and not letting him risk another hamstring injury. Would be awesome to see him play a few games and look good but man if he played and did a 4th(?) hamstring injury I'd be spewing. Let it rest and be ready for preseason.

PMBangers do you reckon the club's woeful injury management record (over an extended period) is a real factor in retaining draftees and landing desirable free agents from other clubs?
It can play a part if the players think there's been mismanagement with their rehab, but I don't think players leave because of it entirely. Although players with Injury troubles certainly will factor it in when looking for a club, it's a big reason why Hawthorn get selected a lot by the likes of O'Meara

Cheers - really tend to think someone like Connor Stone or his manager will be wondering if the grass is greener on the other side.

Eg with clubs like Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide having one soft tissue injury a decade.

A bit slow getting the updates out and also the actual rehab on players with the time on the sidelines not really indiciative
Buckley may have had a setback as it has been just on a year and still listed at 3-4 weeks so he will likely not be seen in seniors this year
Stone could be seen in reserves but no point in pushing him too hard to get back for a game in seniors
MDB could retire with this concussion
Daniels and Perryman similar to Stone in that try to get back but at risk of re-injury for 1 meaningless game hopefully the club makes sure they are right for 1st day of pre-season
Angwin should be season unless he plays reserves finals
It would be good to get Callaghan back for a couple of games but again without the info on his rehab it may be unlikely

Aleer not named in reserves so hopefully next week

FMD.

Honestly. We cannot catch a break - except in the literal sense, which is a bad thing.

GREATER Western Sydney will be without superstar forward Toby Greene for its last two games of the season after scans revealed he needed surgery on a fractured thumb. Greene suffered the injury during the pre-game warm-up ahead of the Giants' clash with Essendon in round 21, but played on to help his side to a comprehensive win over the Bombers. However, specialist advice on Monday determined that he needed surgery to repair the fracture, ruling him out of remaining games against the Western Bulldogs and Fremantle.

Well, I guess at least he can't get suspended for the start of next year. Just don't kick the wall in frustration, Toby!

Finn noted as TBC on the injury report as well, seems like he's either re-aggravated it or been shut down which is a shame because we all want to watch him but we really need to get this foot injury behind him so he's okay and it's not bothering him next year

Why do we keep getting all these injuries?

Nine of out of the fourteen on today's list have some sort of leg problem. Maybe there's something wrong with Tom Wills Oval, it might be a bit too hard.

Someone needs to borrow Tony Grieg's key and go and stick it in the surface.

This has been my suspicion as well. We don't tend to have an out of the ordinary amount of mid-match injuries, it always just seems to be ones that pop up during training sessions or re-aggravating during rehab.

Whitfield not listed with any type of injury and not being shut down - despite J Ralph saying he's heroically playing with an ankle injury that needs surgery.
Guys play through injuries all the time that don't pop up on the injury report

GREATER Western Sydney small forward Bobby Hill is on track to make an inspirational return in the VFL next weekend, after recovering from testicular cancer. The 22-year-old underwent surgery at the start of June and has gradually increased his time at the club over the past couple of months. Hill was medically cleared to return to football last month and now needs to prove he can physically get through a game to be given the green light to play in the reserves. They host Footscray in Blacktown next Saturday in what will be the Giants' final game of the season, given they are a game and a half behind eighth-placed Richmond.

Hi guys, is there any word on what Pruess' injury is?
