It does but that's what we live for, see what they are made of we aren't winning the flag this year anyway

IMO Blues are still a better team than the Pies, Blues have just dipped in form at the wrong time of the year.
If you get back to form you should beat Pies comfortably.

Jake Lever was horrible in that game and when he is down on form so are the Dees.

Brayshaw back to half back. He is a crabber in midfield, wins a lot of it but he isn't doing any damage and the Dees win enough with Petracca, Oliver and Viney anyway. Brayshaw seemed to be impacting the game more at half back with his intercepts.

I'd take Hibberd or Rivers out for Harmes and play Brayshaw back.

If I was responsible for the Dees forward line, I'd probably put a shotgun in my mouth and blast away. What a s**t show. Gotta be the most predictably boring ball movement from such a talented team. They need to take more risks to kick more goals.

Hard to get back to form when you have 60% of your midfield out

Demons need to fix a few things. They were lucky to win that in the end.
Something is off with their forward line. Ben Brown does he ever take contested marks?
Carlton were impressive. Their endeavour was immense, just a few costly mistakes at the end. Letting Melsham mark with three defenders, then missing a few key targets t crucial moments. They could definitely beat the pies next week. That game will be huge.

Injuries, its no secret what helped elevate us was the midfield becoming more than just Cripps and Walsh with the addition of Hewett and Cerra and to an extent Kennedy who had gone from vfl list clogger to 30 touch goal a game mid early doors. Without those guys you tag one of walsh or cripps and our midfield doesnt work.

You mean Hewett and Kennedy and to a lesser extent Cerra...

If your form is reliant on personnel then it isn't about form, it is about personnel.
Your spine is good enough to overcome the absence of a few midfielders.
Form isn't reliant on personnel. But I struggle to see how any team is able to cover that loss. And if you have an undermanned mids against the midfields of teams like Brisbane and Melbourne your performances will be compromised

Hewett's had a good year but isn't the type of player that would be the difference in September.
Cerra, yeah maybe.
But you can't expect all your players to be available all the time.
All of the top 8 teams will miss players through injury at some point, you have to move forward. Injuries are an excuse, surely as a Carlton supporter you are tired of excuses?

Hewett has been our most important player along with Saad and Curnow this year.

There has been no top 8 team that has had an inj run anywhere close to what Carlton has copped. Double digits on the injury list all year - started with the defence/forward and is now hitting the midfield.

Just watched the replay of the game without knowing the final score. What an incredible outcome.

Feel really sorry for Blues fans, extreme heartbreak after putting in a fantastic effort.

Dees phenomenal clutch win.

Its not about 1 individual its about depth through the midfield, we haven't had it for years its been cripps + walsh or bust now 1 can have a quiet game and kennedy or hewitt will have a strong game and our midfield will still be on top.

We seen through the 1st half of the year when they all got on top we piled on 8 goal terms and blew sides away before they had a chance, without that depth we struggle.

Wtf, obviously form is reliant on personnel, have you ever played sport?

So you can only have good form if your squad is fully fit?
It's not possible for your second stringers, who replace injured players, to play good?

Huh? Did you even read my post?

Imagine using an image from Sportsbet to try and be funny and missing the mark by so much.

hahahaha ease up champ. of course I did, you said>>Look at all the insecure Richmond fans that are triggered by this post.
There was only 1.
Imagine not understanding the Sportsbet joke, you can still appeal and like Cripps you get the 4 points and the win. Hence you'll be right. I guess that flew over your head.
