we dont have enough quality young players. The bad news is that some of the senior players are going to be a year older next year....

I don't think we could play much worse than that and weren't too far away.
We're going to need to pull the finger out, because Carlton are going to throw absolutely everything at us next week
Clearly Elliott was affected by the flu if he wasn't used as a mid at any stage. That makes me hopeful that we were hampered by illness.
If we bring that sort of effort and pressure next week, Blues roll us easily
Beaten by a better side on the day on their home deck, we'd be better next time with a few more "IN's". No shame in losing for the first time in 3 months. We butchered a few chances and they took theirs, their keepings off brand works and we'll have to sort out how to play that next time. I hope we get to play them on the G next year!
The opportunity to secure a top-four spot for the Pies and deny Carlton a spot in the finals at all - in the last game of the year - does not come around every day.
I am really looking forward to next week.
It will be pure bliss!
I do. That's why I asked. [emoji1787]Remember the s**t saints copped for "the winning streak", let's not be those guys.[emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]
Hopefully we dont go the way in finals. Can't hang your hats on close HnA wins.

As a supporter /club we are a broad diverse group it would seem.Little boy Callum plays with a flu each game
Not sure about this.Craig needs to play Henry
We are one tall player short and it showed today inside 50 especially against defences who are good in the air
Name 4 who'd be ahead of him?J Daicos continues his good form. He might be top 5 in the Copeland.
The boys were not at their best, true Dave. That was a Complete Shocker.
We where Outplayed so Easily. Guess Shows that we are a Good Side but not a Top Side
Josh Daicos and Murphy where our only Good Players.
I Hope the Flu is the Reason why we looked to have no Energy with Massive Lack of Effort
Just hope this Loss is a Kick Up the Ass the Players Needed before Finals.
Injuries starting to take a Toll with Adams/De Goey/Ginnivan Injured
He can definitely get the ball, but he’s indecision with disposal is so frustrating.I actually thought Cal was alright today. Better than I expected, but depth is pretty much the ceiling for him this year and potentially always.
A certain serenity about the outcome.
Swans the better side, will be extremely tough to beat on that oval. Thought we hung in there and were pretty brave.
Just a couple of observations.
Confirmation that we are paper thin for depth was again highlighted against the better sides. Our ability to cover outs extends to about 2.
Swans extremely aggressive, particulalrly their aerial defending, lots of arm chops/ear massaging, making kicking inside fifty really difficult.
We really struggled forward of the ball all, only AJ looked a threat in the air.
JDaicos our best, his work rate ultra impressive. Pendles/Bruzz OK.
Key forwards very quiet but it was tough for them, IQ had a very poor game.
Both are clearly positives.Agreed.
People talking about his effort and accumulation of touches as a positive astounds me.
The more he touches the ball the worse it is for us for the reasons you mentioned.
