This from Robbo saying Naughton has been disappointing this year… seriously how does he get away with this stuff. Naughton averaging .2 less goals than Hawkins despite being 12 years younger!

6, Air Naughton out of gas

Aaron Naughton was in the best 10 in my top 50 at the start of the year, but hasn’t been able to play to those expectations as the season played out. He is ranked ninth overall by Champion Data for key forwards, which is pretty solid, but most pundits would’ve expected him to be closer to the pointy end, with the likes of Jeremy Cameron, Tom Hawkins, Tom Lynch and, the most surprising of all, Charlie Curnow. Four of the Bulldogs’ last five games have been against top eight teams — Sydney, Melbourne, Geelong, Fremantle and the Giants on Saturday — and Naughton has averaged 1.7 goals, four marks and 1.2 marks inside the forward line. His average outside of those five games is 2.7 goals, five marks and 2.6 marks inside 50. We’ll give him an out because he’s probably banged up and he needs support but, at the same time, players are judged by how they perform in big games and Naughton has been average at best — at least over the past five games.
That muppet mustn’t even watch the games, just looks at stats. Naughton was cruelled by 5 horrible decisions against him on the weekend, 4 of them within minutes of one another, but just kept his head up and kept trying. Those who I were sitting with were all in admiration of him.

Has he run out of Essendope pieces?

Too bad Robbo hasn't run out of gas. Didn't the Bummers get thrashed this week?

How does that club have 7 in the top 100 paid players? We've got 5. They are still paying players like it's the year 2000

Just shows how many players are paid on what they CAN do as opposed to what they actually do.

Bombers paying Stringer like it's October 2016. What a joke of a club 😂

Truck Rutten fired today. Gia gets his first gig as head coach.
What a shame Hawthorn didn't beat Richmond yesterday. The new coach effect might come into play next week when the Dons play the Tigers.

In hindsight the picks we got for him were about the right price, eh?
"The Bulldogs were keen on Essendon's pick 11 to be a part of the deal but the Bombers traded that out earlier in proceedings to recruit Devon Smith from Greater Western Sydney, leaving the Dogs to target later selections.

They were stuck between a rock and a hard place, with the Bombers holding the whip hand given the Bulldogs had encouraged Stringer to look at his trade options.

The haggling continued until the final two hours of the Trade Period, finally resulting in the Bulldogs offloading the 23-year-old Stringer for picks 25 and 30.

The Dogs used pick 30, alongside pick 28 and a future second-round selection to grab picks 16 and 40 off Carlton. They then swapped picks 25 and 40 for Brisbane forward Josh Schache, who this year has had a rebirth as a key defender, while later drafting smart left-footer Ed Richards with pick No.16."
