I’m excited as anyone for Rankine but we NEED an A-class midfielder. We’ve needed one for years.

No point have great forwards and great defenders if we keep losing in the middle.

Need a McCreery or Holman type to compliment. Someone bigger in size, doesn’t get a ton of the ball, hell they don’t even have to be a high level goal kicker. Just need to be a good ball user and be able to pressure

That's how it works. Original club makes statement that player has requested trade or whatever and this is followed by a statement from receiving club of player has requested trade. The Crows did the same when Erin Phillips left for Port. Crows announced Erin is leaving, then Port announced Erin has been signed. It's not any club being salty or whatever. It's just being respectful IMO.

Everyone says that, but surely GWS or North would have picked Dawson in the PSD? Especially North. Why is it so different this year?

Clubs just don't pick dissatisfied players - it brings a toxic, unhappy influence to their club and it really pisses off player managers.

Plus you end up overpaying for the privilege, stopping you from doing other things.

Of course, with every team before you, the chances increase someone just won't give a f***.
