He didn't play too well did he! He does need to be dropped, he hasn't played a standout game for a while, it's disapointing because I was hoping he would come on this year, but he obviously hasn't.

I just can't wait to see what donsman4ever has to say in Ricky's defence!

Agreed - Ricky may well be his lovechild......!!

Im eager to see Dempsey get a game, hopefully he string a few good games together for the BB so he can get a game in the seniors. I also want to see Tommy get a game aswell, we need some real agression in the middle and I want to see it in the seniors. He may not be ready (im not sure), but I just can't wait to see some real agression in the middle and i don't care who it is!
Those are the 2 who I want to get a game the most, hope they get a game soon. Oh, and Nash, probably for Cole, he doesn't get enough of it to have an influence on the game, let him have a run in the VFL for a while.

Nash will get a go in the next few weeks if his last VFL game is any indication. I think Hislop is ready (readier than Dyson anyway!) and I think Campo is at the end of his worth..

I'm not going to say anything in his defence. He had a shocker, plain and simple. As I have said in the past, I dont think he is a great player, he just gets some unjustified (and some justified :p) rough treatment. I'm always gonna try and stick up for him, but he should get dropped this week.

Are you feeling ok Donsman4eva? I didn't expect that at all! :p

LOL, well he did have a shocker. Although I noticed after his performance last week everyone else was very quiet about him. He deserves to get droppead after tonight though. Cole and Slattery also had shockers, so he might retain his place. Doubt it though.

He is very rapidly running out of chances....

PS : Donsman4eva, a lot of us thought he played crap last week mate, but we are too scared to criticize him for fear of your wrath :D

Tonight he sunk to a new low

hahaha nice one :thumbsu:

Also Donsman4eva, Cole will probably be dropped, but i don't think Slatts should be dropped. He hold's his opponent well nearly all the time, it's just he doesn't get many possessions, but im happy with him staying in the side, he's been solid which is good.

Yeah Slattery did a good job on pettifer, but would still like him to be a bit more damaging going the other way. ATM he is playing his role well though. Will be a harsh call if he does get dropped, but at the same time I wouldnt be totally surprised if he did get dropped, if you get my drift.

I would, as long as he's doing his job and not doing really doing anything wrong like turning it off and giving away free kicks then he shouldn't be dropped, especially if there's quite a few player's that he's playing better than. It's not like wev'e got someone who can do the same job as him PLUS get disposals aswell, so for that reason he should defenately not be dropped.

McVeigh did a fair job on Power. Went forward and took Power right out of his comfort zone. Although it wasnt a typical tagging role. he did his job in that he took Power out of the game and still contributed himself.

The problem with Slattery is that he can keep opposition small forwards quiet, but he struggles on midfielders. He needs to be able to play on elite midfielders to get a game as a tagger.

When he came on for Davey and kicked that goal to put us back within a goal late int he 4th....thats exactly what he should be doing to earn his spot. Game in the balance, stand up and be counted, son.

Actually, Dyson's goal was the first of the 4 late goals for us, so you could say he was the one that got the ball rolling.

I meant someone who isn't in the team that could do a better job than Slattery. There is no one outside the current 22 that is better than Slattery at the jobs he is given.

I think Heffernan is better. In my opinion, Heffernan provides better disposal, better run and better endurance, allowing him to run with fittest of midfielders. On top of this, Heffernan gets more of the ball than Slattery. Heffernan's lack of possessions was probably one of the prime catalysts for his ommision but looking at Slattery's stats over the past two weeks, a mere 13 combined, Heff seems to have the wood over him there as well.
