He can cheat all he likes if that's what some w***ers want to call it , other small forwards don't cheat LOL
If cheating gets you bags of 4 and 5 , cheat your heart out jack
Bolton did it a heap this year and it was called clever forward play for being able to read the situation better than anyone else.

He’s slow, he’s on afl form a lousy kick which has killed our momentum on several occasions, he was dropped. I think those are factual statements. Great teams don’t loose many they really want to keep, richmond saw us coming Imo.
He is our only small forward who is strong overhead

Speed, evasiveness and goal sense are cornerstones of a good small forward but if they cannot mark overhead then they shouldnt be considered IMO

Out of the best small forwards (based on goals kicked) this year .... all are strong overhead - Stengle, Bolton, Breust, Heeney, Pickett, Greene, Charlie Cameron, McCarthy, Elliott, Schultz, Weightman, McAdam and Higgins

I would be trading Butler before Higgins

Arguably moving out Clark, Hill, Long - maybe even Jones, if done right.

Could put you in a position to do a Port post Wingard and compete.

Try target another teens pick (lions)

Grab Stocker, Hartigan as KPD Depth.
So out Hill , Long, Clark
And replace with Stocker , Hartigan and depth player like Joyce

That’s going backwards

Replace Ratts, Lade, Gallagher would be a better option

There it is.

"we didn't make the 8... so let's move on players a b c and d"

Our biggest problem is Brett Ratten.

But we'll shake everything else up which will put us even further behind. Why?... because if we're making changes it shows we're doing something? Not if we're not focused on the right area.

Ratten will go eventually, it's just a matter off how much damage is done before we see the back of him.

Tired of the stupidity to be honest.
Don't underestimate the Lenny signing saving his arse

I agree he will go within the next 18 months but the people who hired him extended his contract and then get rid of him will still be there

A few have had a crack at me for my dislike of Leathlean but he is nothing more than upgrade of Pelchin

You would think we are looking for draft picks. Maybe package up a couple we receive for another pick around our first.

The names you have thrown up are potential depth i would hope. Rookie signings on minimum wage or gtfo.

Can’t wait for us to land Ben King

A Whitfield deal could well be on the cards knowing Gubby Allan has had dealings with him before.
Very few players are worth a million a year and Whitfield is not one of them so he would have to take a big pay cut coming to us and we wouldn't be using our first on him so I don't know how the deal would get done unless Hill is used in some 3 way trade with North.
Get a decent pick for Clark?

Didn't Gubby get caught doing some dodgy recruiting for Whitfield? If so there may be more than smoke.

Take all of his salary and throw in Bruhn for 2nd and third. Absolute mandatory must is that Whitfield is fit to play not carrying or lingering soreness, any doubt no deal.

Bruhn is the cherry.

Replace our second with Hill trade from North.

Small increase in SC but get two quality players and preserve pick 9 for Humphrey or McKenzie and wildcard in late 20s.

Upgrade on a HBF who can at least halve a contest and is an elite kick and a pick 12 30 game onballer who could develop into who knows...right age demographic too.

Bruhn is a Geelong boy which may be an issue but 50 min by car from Morabbin is better than 8 hours from Sydne

Absolute horse s**t.....you seem to be the absolute general of making the absolute worst of situations. It's just about laughable.

That pick for Stanley was widely regarded as a win for us. Stanley played about 5 good games for saints and was as inconsistent as you could get.

He's been a bit better at Geelong, but not much....

Some of the shite you dribble is absolutely laughable [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

Stanley was expected to be the next Riewoldt by the St Kilda hierarchy, he was never going to be that.

He was going to be a decent AFL mobile ruckman who could rest forward and kick a couple of goals.

Geelong gave us a fair exchange for an up and coming ruckman which we completely squandered on Hugh Goddard.

The history and facts are there.

Yep we had draft picks 7 & 8 to get Clark and Coffield in.
Used pick 25 to get Long
Gave up a 1st rounder and a couple of 2nd rounders for Hill

No good getting in draft picks again if the same people are in charge

So we would trade out Clark, a 23 y.o with still a huge upside, just so we could have the collateral to pay for a million $ 28 y.o Whitfield.

Peak Saints trading then and there.

Didn't we give up pick 6 and a couple of seconds Acres and Bruce for Paddy, Hill, Jones, Butler, and Doogs?

We only had one first rounder and got 5 players with it if I recall.

It will be interesting to see what Richmond have to give up to land those players.

You can safely say GWS are in a rebuild.

If we played Clark in position, which I believe is in the guts, then no worries in keeping him, but we seem to have that area covered. McKenzie & Whitfield on the wings would be nice.
