Melbourne clubs just have such a massive after football opportunities available to recruits that we will never have. We have to pay overs. I don't understand how they always have so much cap space to pay for these recruits.

Because they (generally) don't spend large chunks of the salary cap to pay other teams' players.

In the case of Richmond, it was reported that Reiwoldt and Cotchin both took pay cuts and are now only on approx $300k.

Compare that to what we are paying Sloane, who has done **** all for the last four years.
