Brisbane seems to have a good live music scene if you’re into that, seem to churn out more decent artists than the rest of Aus in the last 20 years.

That’s all I got though[emoji3]

Probably because there's nothing else to do but sit in your bedroom and noodle away on your guitar.

It counts!

As someone who lived in Melbourne all my life and spent far too much time in Adelaide, you really learn what you’ve been missing out on when you move to a northern state with warmer weather…

Sweet FA to do in either city of you’re past 30 and over clubbing, once the weather turns, you might as well be in lockdown!!

Agreed, it’s everything that comes with it, when you live in a good climate! Walks, outdoor activity, fresh clean air, fishing, just all round better living…

I grew up in the northern suburbs of Melbourne and spent A LOT of time in pubs/clubs and many other underground haunts, not sure the young can afford to do that anymore but the sea and outdoor lifestyle is free!!

Doesn't really count if you have to go 45 minutes out of the city though, does it.

It's not really a credit to the city if you need to go 45 mintues away from the city before you get somewhere decent.

There is the beach at South Bank. It's awesome if you don't mind dodging the kids peeing in the water or the homeless drug addicts bathing in it.

Agreed, especially on a hot day. I've never really understood why when its 40 degrees outside, middle of summer, people want to head outside into the hot sun, squeeze on to a crowded beach on the hot sand, hoping for a spot to open up in the water to 'cool off' then head back to sit on the hot sand in the hot sun and repeat the process, then deal with the friggin sunburn and torturous drive home in bumper to bumper traffic. Got me buggered

Ah yes, those Melbourne bayside council rates! How dare they charge so much when the water is 12 degrees in summer, has a coating of hairspray that covers the bay and a bunch of overweight men in Lycra ruining the scenery every weekend…

Quite happy where I live thank you very much :p

Don’t forget all the shit the female occupants of the house demand that you have to carry into the car, out of the car, set it up on a hot beach, pull it down and carry it back to the car then pull it out and put away at home.

Then when you think your done, open the boot and find half the beaches sand still in there…

flipping hate the beach with a passion, so much so I paid shitload of money to put a pool in the backyard. Best money I’ve ever spent!!
