No idea, Rooey seemed as annoyed as what we doI just don't get why we would be pulling out from even attempting to get a deal done.
If that’s the case then he’s an entitled campaigner.Maybe Bowes has told us he doesn’t want to play with us.
Maybe he has nominated Geelong.
Sounds very goodThat’s a really good question Mowman. I went a bit off track today.

It doesn't matter to most of the media what it means, only what it looks like. Another poster who works in contract law made a convincing case against a behavioural clause, and for all we know St Kilda are being very wise, but as far as all the rest of the AFL world is concerned - media, fans, ex-players in the media etc - it looks like the Saints are so desperate and amateur that they'd lust take the risk the JDG is a good boy.Pretty quickly the narrative has shifted to St Kilda being careless to go after a player with behavioural issues who doesn’t want to agree to certain behavioural issues.
What does it mean? It means he didn’t like the clauses they put in place, not that he wants to continue to misbehave.
That seems by far the most likely scenario.Maybe Bowes has told us he doesn’t want to play with us.
Maybe he has nominated Geelong.

But we are incompetent for itProbably because he has chosen Geelong, which has been the word for days. There are 16 other clubs that won't get this deal.

Oh happy day!
Do you know what the Bowes deal would be? Would you take Bowes' salary and swapping 7 for 10 if that's the deal?Could be, but we're all just going from the reporting. It's "St Kilda won't make a play for Bowes", not "Bowes has nominated Geelong".
We did show interest. Obviously something has changed since we showed interest for us to be ruled out.The real question is why wouldn't we at least show some interest?
It makes no damn sense at all.
Saints doing Saints things...The real question is why wouldn't we at least show some interest?
It makes no damn sense at all.
Have we considered that we aren't going to make a play for Bowes because Bowes isn't interested?Could be, but we're all just going from the reporting. It's "St Kilda won't make a play for Bowes", not "Bowes has nominated Geelong".
We had one. Unfortunately he did his knee in his 5th game.A big NO for Grundy from me. We desperately need a part time ruckman who can play as the 2nd tall forward and Grundy nor is Marshall that.
Surely we can find a player on the out skirts of a side without getting tied to a 5 year contract.
Someone on the Dogs board said we had met with him.Spitballing.
But I wonder if we are a club keen on Lachie Hunter
I don't get the need to jump on the club like a pack of dogs over this deal when it's very unclear what the deal is.But we are incompetent for it![]()
