Any chance Brayden George lasts til 23 now with the ACL? Is a tantalising prospect on paper.
Going on Brodie Kemp doubtful...both in a similar draft range before their ACL's late in the year and he still went at 17 though he played more footy before the ACL than Brayden.

Cadman locked into GWS it seems. In that case, reckon NM would be mad not to go with Sheezel with one of their picks

Wardlaw and Sheezel would put them in a good spot
Surely they for more outside speed with Tsatas instead of wardlaw.

I’m amazed they didn’t want Cadman

Yeah I'm intrigued how far phillipou can slide and whether we would have any interest to trade up if he falls in the teens.

Pretty sure the Power will be prohibited from trading any further future picks, so this may make trading up for an SA player a tad easier.

Our future 2nd will look very juicy to a lot of clubs.

I heard this morning that they are keen bringing in both Wardlaw and Tsatas, apparently they are good mates. That's why they were happy to drop to pick 2 and 3 to get them both.

Cadman would be loving life. Spends a maximum of two years at the Giants and then goes to a Richmond, Geelong or Collingwood.
That is the thing he is their new Cameron in the making and he stayed more than 2 years hopefully he stays like Toby. But I do think may be that is why WC gave up pick 2 for 8 and 12. They will take the best two WA kids. But if I was WC I'm keeping pick 2. Isn't the really top end talent of this draft supposed to drop off after the first 5 or 6 picks.

I agree, the WC part of that deal is intriguing, essentially 2 for 8 and 12.

I wouldn't have done that trade, but West Coast must believe their list is cooked and the only way to rebuild is through multiple first rounders

Calder Cannon's running half back Rye Penny might spark more interest after lighting up the Vic State Combine yesterday..Knew he was quick and a quite spectacular high leaping overhead mark now I know why...

Yep, his athleticism really stood out to me in the Metro vs Country game

A team could do a lot worse picking him up mid-late draft

That is some big jumps from 1st to 2nd!!!

Sure is, have seen him take several big high leaping overhead marks during the season but that running jump is definitely WOW kinda stuff.

We've actually picked up quite a few Calder Cannon lads since Hamish has been with us so maybe Rye Penny might be a chance too?

Zak Taylor, Lachie Gollant, Lachlan Sholl, Jake Lever, Reilly O'Brien, Rory Atkins and Daniel Talia...mostly with mid/late picks.

We need a running half back late / rookie

How far would Phillipou have to slide before we could potentially get him with 23 and our future second?
GWS traded up to 15 using 21 and their future 2nd. I doubt they’d trade down to an even later pick again

Our best chance would be the Pies’ pick 16

Thanks, that was my best guess too after looking at the current picks. Unlikely he slides that far I presume but would have to try if he did. Hewett and Hollands the two others that may be in that range that I would consider trading up for based on what I've seen.

I’d reckon Phillipou actually has more of a chance of sliding than Hewett and Hollands, just a gut feel

I’d be rapt if he does, he’s still top 5 in my own rankings
