Key Off-Season Dates
This is a comprehensive list including dates for draft combines, list lodgements, delisted free agency windows and return to train dates. I had to collate these from three different club websites because the AFL is lazy af and doesn't have it on their website, so thought it might be helpful to share:

FAQs & Resources Thread

It has an index at the top with threadmarks so it's easy to find what you're looking for – or easier than scrolling through 250 pages of AFL Rules, Regulations and CBA pdfs anyway.

These sorts of questions are all answered along with a bunch of other resources made by posters from across BigFooty (feel free to add to it!):

Been watching as much 2021 AFL Draft eligible boys as I can over the last couple of weeks. I'm praying Collingwood finish bottom 4 so we can get a kid like Tyler Sonsie atm, has good athletic traits and plays a variety of roles through the midfield and in the forwardline, would be one that could be that missing piece we need around stoppages as he matures
As it turns out, this kid still there in the late 20's

Should make a lot of clubs look silly at least
Also a sign of how much difference a year can make.

Im a believer that kids that star early normally turn out well. (although it is very easy to over rate your first opinion of someone)

Something interesting from league, if a kid makes NSWPSSA (primary schools), the U/15 and Year 12 school association team there is a very high rate of playing NRL. it is easily the strongest predictor.

If you take out any of the 3 sides, the chances drop considerably. kids that are guns early, are generally guns.

Thought I'd put this story in here, rather than the media thread, to highlight what a crock of s**t the rumours were about Cogs leaving:

AFL news 2021: Stephen Coniglio interview, trade to Western Australia, rumours, whispers, struggles at GWS Giants, injuries, form woes, last two years, seasons (foxsports.com.au)

GWS Giants skipper Stephen Coniglio has admitted he’s endured a “tough couple of years” where the midfielder’s been limited to just 23 AFL appearances.

“Being away, having more to worry about than just footy - in terms of how guys are going being away from families and kids and being in a really different environment,” he said. “For me personally, it was hard at times not being able to contribute on the field. Form-wise, I wasn‘t at my absolute best … but as things stand now, I’m in a really good headspace and my body’s feeling as good as it has for a long time. I’ve had a tough couple of years, no doubt. At times I love my back against the wall and have that eye of the tiger to want to come back and to want to really push forward with this team and try and win something.”

It led to Coniglio get linked to a move back to his native Western Australia this off-season after appearing to fall out of favour at the Giants. But Coniglio, who was heavily courted by Victorian clubs at the end of 2019, denied such talk of him leaving the Giants in recent months.

“(There was) No truth to that at all,” he said. “I was in Perth which obviously didn’t help. So wherever I went at that time, people were asking. There were a couple of rumours floating around in the media, but (there was) no truth to that at all. I only signed a seven-year contract a couple of years ago and I want to be a Giant for life. I love it here in Sydney.” Looking ahead to next season, Coniglio was excited to lead the club with Greene and Kelly by his side.

Im surprised at how big a story it became over the trade period it all began just because Cornes said he think's it would be a good fit for Coniglio, there was never anything sourced or actual reporting done it was just one guy saying he thinks it would be a good fit and then all of a sudden everyone in the media ran with it like it was something real.

JOM rumours are interesting. Maybe better for our age profile. Comes off the books in 3 years, Hawks paying for the pick.
He'd be depth and challenging Ward for midfield minutes.

One of the journo's was saying (forgot who it was) that the we wouldn't want to pay any of his salary which likely means a higher pick and I probably think that makes negotiations a bit tough
