When 2 minute highlights include an ootf and shank shot at goal it is a worry. Seems to have a big body that is not very toned. Looks like a man child that will have challenges against player his own size

Agree with you, the only criteria is and has always been football skill and IQ first , the rest will develop, flashes are just that superficial, tear away speed form stoppages etc etc , Paddy Dow possessed good
breakaway speed fro cntr bounces , were did that get us.
Media and draft guru’s hype is dangerou.
Stick to the fundamentals and ya cant go wrong.

You're probably right, it was just a hypothetical.

But realistically, how tempting would it be for WCE having the lure of bringing in three 1st round local young guns in the one year. Dangle the offer in front of them on draft nite and see if we get a bite.

Not interested in Mackenzie or Sheezel.

I really like what I saw of Clark in what I have seen in the U18s. Would be really surprised if he didn't turn out a 200+ game player. Would 10 and a future 2 entice * suns or hawks enough to get in front of cats? And what might Cats give on draft night if we had that pick in our hand given they are currently draft winners?

Probably one of the more genuine mid sized forwards in the draft. Before ACL, late 1st, now mid to late 2nd.

I think 2 of either Hotton, George or Hollands would suit our needs, would probably have to trade 10 back and bring 29 forward to achieve this.

It's not a highlights package. It's every play from that game. We should watch everybody's tape that way.

Humphrey can play midfield or forward, have burst pace and is a natural leader. Not my first choice but there is something to work with there.

Humphrey is a player who needs 2-3 years of skillwork refinement.

At a club who isn't looking to be top 8 he'd get games, do interesting things and some spectacular misses.

We are going to get a very good prospect with our first pick anyway, which is why I don't see the need for us to try trade up in the draft (esp potentially at the cost of our future 1st round pick)

yup agree and at the ned of the day Luck too plays a huge part in the outcome And it’s about time for us. Austin is astute, won’t misfire selections.
Furthermore 2023 cohort at least Rds 1&2 are more than interesting.
I’d be stockEd with Matteas, p10 , later Lachian Cowan or Campbell-Farrel Or Luke Bailey.

If George is there at our second pick, I'd be calling out his name.

Couldn't care less if he misses most of 2023, just get him right for 2024 and we've got a dynamic medium forward prospect. We've got quite a few options in that position, but a lot of them could, and maybe should, be moved on over the next two years.

Martin - best is elite, but inconsistent and injury-prone
JSOS - lionheart but more a defensive forward
Fisher - good front-runner/win-more player, doesn't impose himself on a contest or game though
Motlop - looks handy, still very young, has some x-factor
Durdin - looks handy, still very young, bit more meat & potatoes
Owies - works hard, limited, kicking a worry
Cuningham - injury prone. last chance
Honey - injury prone and yet to show he can translate solid VFL form to solid AFL form
Fogarty - gone end of next year, undersized mid

Could easily see 2023 being the last year for Honey, Cunners and Fogarty, and then 2024 being the final year for Owies. Martin could easily be trade-bait. 2024 a development year for George and he's pushing for a best 22 spot from 2025 onwards.
