Isn't it the exact opposite? Less years usually means more money. Players sometimes give up a bit of cash for the security of a longer contract.

He’s still a developing player. His peak earning years are still 3 plus years away. We don’t over commit on potential and he doesn’t accept unders for security.

I think Rowe will go for a bag of chips.

Something about the way Reid responded on trade radio gave me an inkling there was a chance Rowe would go via trade.

Probably waiting to see what happens on the Dunkley list spot. If Dunkley gets traded then I reckon Rowe will go for a very late pick (eg pick 69).

If Dunkley doesn’t go then Rowe gets delisted and picked up by the Dogs as a rookie.

I for one would prefer to keep Rowe above others on the list. Reckon he will be a handy forward pocket in a good side. Appreciate we don’t have the list spots this year though.

Yes would be nice to have a last minute pleasant surprise but given our list management team slow and steady approach (slower than a turtle pretty much). My confidence level of a last minute surprise 00.0001%

Not really, we seem done this year.

We really don't seem to use the trade market that much.

I would have thought even a bit of depth would or could have been useful. I guess we can get blokes easier in the SAnFL?

Rawling’s comments about the trade were …… interesting. Basically suggested there were issues no one else knew about that meant they were happy to take less for him.
