Haven't mids like Danger/Bont always been at or near the forward markers, and they decide to keep them Mid-only arbitrarily for the next year to not monopolise forward lines, or am I remembering incorrectly?

Nah, we get the same DPP additions as DT have been getting for years.

Over the years they've been pretty poor, and pretty much all the round 12 additions have been irrelevant, Bont this year a big outlier.

Last 2 seasons there's be some very good additions.
They need to play 4 of the first 6 games to be eligible to get DPP too, so you are basically hoping that a premo you don't have is carrying an injury and getting parked forward to be any chance of getting it, like Parker this year, or Darcy the year before.

@eno did a video on it in the lead-up to this season.

Also starting Newcombe and probably Hayden Young.

Tom Green  .......but keep it on the lowdown, don't want it getting out

Both injured in preseason,

Backup option B is........?
There really isn't many other good options, is there?

Gawn and Grundy will take ruck time off each other, Gawn is half okay as a forward, Grundy is not, you could wish one of them go down for a few months? Darcy can't jump, plus Jackson coming in. Nic Nat, too old. Goldstein, too old. Draper possibly? Scoring isn't really there.

There will be quite a few options but I think most people will be starting Grundy at $500k he will be too cheap to pass on he won't play much forward so most of his minutes will be in the ruck. So then it will come down to who to have as the 2nd ruck and it's either pick someone like Gawn/Nank/Witts as a keeper or go someone cheaper and take a punt like Cameron/English/Marshall to have a break out year. Another ruck I am considering is Lycett he will probably be solo ruck but after his injury this year will start at approx $377k. His previous 3 years went 101,96,94 averages so he could be a decent stepping stone to a premo around the byes.

Witts and DC
Witts only averaged 98 after the bye, starts priced at 110. Not sure he goes 110 again personally. Has durability on his side though, didn't miss a game in 4 of the last 5 season.

DC starts at 85 - went 96 after Grundy went down, but really ran out of steam late in the year (86 after his bye excl finals). Better value, especially if he gets R/F.
