He should have been sold or just released at the start of the season, and I think ETH was happy for that to happen, but I gather the Glazers wouldnt let it happen. Well, he is about to blow the place up on the way out and that is on them.

In a way, Ronaldo coming back might end up being better than originally expected. Imagine being called shit owners by one of the most respected and greatest footballers in history.

Ronaldo & ETH clearly don’t like each other, no respect as Ronaldo has said, I don’t like what he’s said about Erik but somethings happened.

Everything else I’ve seen him say is 100% bang on, the club has been an absolute shambles for years since SAF left, no progress at all, the glazers are a disgrace to the club...I do like he’s speaking out for us United fans in hope for change at the club, because it’s a circus and has been for years.

That's the PR7 spin in full effect. Don't fall for it.

This talk about not being shown respect is just staggering when you consider that it's public record that Ronaldo has refused to even meet with ETH in pre season, then refused to participate in pre season (an unbelievably stupid decision at 37 y.o), left the stadium early (twice), refused to be subbed on, and refuses to make any effort to play the pressing game ETH is trying to implement.

There are so many contradictions from him in the snippets I've seen so far too. He spends the summer publicly offering himself out to any CL club willing to take a punt on him but now claims he's always been committed and was being forced out by the club. He talks of stories about him not being wanted by anyone else as "shadow" work from the club, yet we had coaches and club owners that he was linked to publicly shut down any interest. He also says he only rejoined out of loyalty after SAF called to convince him, but SAF is previously on record saying they never spoke until after he signed. He bemoans the lack of progress at the club but is now actively prohibiting progress by refusing to play the way the manager wants the team to be playing.

His comments about Rooney were just so petty as well. As was his snub of Neville. I've always been of the belief that Ronaldo's giant ego has been his greatest strength as a player but it looks like it will also be his undoing in the end. He's completely lost the plot.

Can’t argue with any of that, well said.

He is delusional now. His ability no longer matches his talent.

Tara Ronnie. If he tells the truth in the longer version the repercussion could be huge regarding the demonstrations. Neither he nor Ten Hag want him at the club. He's still at the club at the Glazers insistence. Hopefully he goes full scorched earth on the Glazers. Let everyone know what absolute campaigners they are.

It’s rare to go public with things such as that, particularly with someone of the stature of CR7. It didn’t end very well for Keane when he did that internal interview with the MUFCTV program all those years ago, SAF acted swiftly thereafter.

Perhaps that’s what he is seeking here, the final straw to get the exit out of the club he’s been looking for.

For that to happen Ronaldo (and his ego) needs to take a pay cut.

Will he?

Absolutely no way. He won’t do that.

I reckon there could be an agreement with the club and Ronaldo to terminate his contract. He’s toxic, so the sooner that happens, the better.

If this is true it is hilarious

This was a really telling quote from an article in the Guardian;

“On the pitch he is, as they said at Juventus, the solution to the problem he causes, reducing the entire team to his personalised Ronaldo vehicle.”

Might be best for the club to agree a termination now? Let his agent find him a new club. Transfer window opens on Jan 1 and competition doesn't resume until boxing day anyway. That is unless he wants the last 6 months of his contract paid out. If it is money he wants he will get that from a middle eastern or one of the bigger MLS clubs as a designated player.

MLS seems the logical next destination if he can accept that he's done at the top level

Glory would be a chance if they can somehow stump up the cash. Ronaldio has strong family connections in Perth.

Unfortunately unless Gina Rinehardt wants to fund his $600k / week wages its a non starter from a financial pov.

I keep hearing this. Is it strong family links or people he hasn’t seen in 20+ years? :p

Ronaldo cannot "accept that he's done at the top level" and he is still contracted for 18 months. It is a disaster. He is still owed circa $50m. Either ManU pay that and tell him to piss off, or someone else pays it. If PSG were dumb enough then maybe but that is about it.

The way Juventus have bent united over through the years is hilarious.

I think at the end of this season, it’s a player/club option for another season.
