No .....and IMO, Doedee is still the man to be Capt

Sloane will start the season well, fresh, enthusiastic .....but it's amazing how after 5-6 weeks of grind & bumps ....the legs get heavy and he'll fall away in the back half of the season .....hopefully he's managed

Last couple of years, we've see Sloane fall away in backend of games .....we can't have a senior player, only playing 3/4, when the game is up for grabs in the 4th Qtr

Doedees durability is a concern and Dawson is more likely to put the team on his back and get them over the line.

“Just let him be captain” is anti high performance and team first. Him not being captain is an obvious decision, he’s not exactly overseen a non-s**t player culture.

So who would you choose for captain in 2024, presuming you want Sloane this year before he's delisted

I know a lot like to think that but he's only 25 and with his meticulous preparation and team first attitude they'll continue to be wrong for a long time yet.

I have no opinion or leaning either way. Fingers crossed a new coach comes in and finds the guy, similar to what Walsh did in 2014.

Dawson and Doedee just seem like very vanilla appointments. Van Berlo esque.
