I joked back that maybe we should do everyone a favour and sign Salah because he’s already declining. Then it turned to a debate of you saying that Messi lacks power, pace and strength, so he’d not do well in the PL. Some people have said that’s ridiculous and he’d do well in England because older, less talented players have done well in the PL. You have somehow taken that as those people saying Messi would be able to play until he is 46 years old and this isn’t 5-6 years ago. I think you have gotten lost in your own joke.

I never said he is the same player he was at Barca. I've even said his goals have slowed and he tends to drop deeper and orchestrate. He's still elite though.

And you keep trying to make him older than he is.

He turned 35 in July.

There's never been a player in the history of the game as obsessed with scoring and personal achievements as he is. He's not going to let his happiness at the club get in the way of that. It must be absolutely killing him seeing his goals to games ratio deteriorating so rapidly at the moment.

The reason why no one wants him is because even if he is still capable of scoring 15+ goals a season you'd have to build that team around him to make that possible and at his age and with his complete lack of defensive effort he's not good enough to justify it any more.

If it’s as you say and the league will pay fund for Ronaldo’s potential signing outside the club, they should go for it. I don’t see it personally but it would be great if it happened.
