I wonder if we'll have a crack at the Suns' pick on the night.
I would've thought the Bombers and Hawks' picks were most likely. Suns won't want to trade out another top pick after the backlash of the Bowes debacle.
Plus, I think they want/need another top guy in Humphrey/Ginbey. Personally not sure why they're not looking at Tsatas, who would work well with their midfield.

I think he's viewed as a flight risk. West Coast don't seem to be interested in him either.
I recon our future first with sydney will get done, may have to throw our 29 in as well which im fine with but i recon it gets done and we'll all be pleasantly suprised with how hood our haul is tonight/morrow

We're not trading F1 + our second for #15. Way too much.

What Stamos said. And add to that, we can't trade our F1 without getting an F3 back. So that would seem to be the sensible trade - Carlton's F1 for Sydney's 14+F3. That's if we want to make the trade, which is by no means certain. Big risk trading out of next year's draft. Would be much happier using pick 10, but it seems Sydney is looking for future picks for 14/17.

Happy Draftmas everyone. Enjoy the next few hours left of conjecture, but whoever we end up with, hope they do well. And at least for the next few months, we'll be able to enjoy the thought of them as the next Jezza, Diesel & Kouta.

Guessing you're thinking F1 + 29 for 14+17? If so, we'd need to pull in a F3 which makes this move very difficult without P10.
All shall be revealed.
Most likely option in my mind is that Top 10 unfolds as expect with a few in different positions from most mocks, then we take Hollands and trade a F1 for either Pick 14, 15, 17, 18 or 19 with something else coming back (ideally another top 30 pick, perhaps forgoing 49).

Do you mean our Pick 10* or Saints? If the latter, you're right. If they're BOTH available, surely we'd take them as best available.
Saying that, I reckon if they're on the board, we'll have a good number of offers coming out way #ExtraTime

I’ll probably be sleeping when we make our draft pick but my best guess is we hope there’s a slider (which we want) to pick 10 and we then use our future first (plus a little something) for the Swans Pick 14 and we pick Hollands with that. Fortunately it’s established that Hollands is keen to come to us and we are keen on him so it’s less likely one of the picks between 11 and 13 take him given there’s many other good options on the table.
If we end up with Hollands at 10 or if we take someone else but he’s not there at 14 then I think we trade for the Swans Pick 17 instead with our future first and go with someone else on our radar. We could even take 17 and trade down a bit if we think our next target is in the 20s anyway.
The other crazy thing we could do is package 14 and 29 or 17 and 29 if we have a slider and don’t think Hollands will available after pick 10. For example could the Eagles or Saints be willing to trade down for an extra top 30 pick?

If GCS select Ginbey, and Phillipou/Humphrey are off the board, wouldn't be surprised to see WCE take Allan at pick #8/9

Our F1 for Sydney’s pick 14 feels like the way we might go.
Austin wants to do business and so do Sydney so there’s the starting point.
To be looking at that deal says we’re in full go mode now and backing ourselves in to be serious players from next season and that’s as it should be or we’re not fair dinkum.
Retaining pick 10 gives us a nice chance at a highly rated slider or, simply taking Hollands who ticks a lot of boxes for Carlton.
Sydney’s pick 14 and our natural 2nd rounder then give Austin the opportunity to round out our list as they see fit …
