We usually do a GD Draft thread to keep the stuff out if the Drafting and trading thread.

WE will close that one for now and reopen after the draft.

Ive copied the last 25 posts over to keep the chat going.

All Draft talk in here now please.

Interesting, but obvious selection...

Lot of competition for inside-mid spots with next gen - Simpson, Parfitt, Willis, Clark, Bruhn, Holmes, Kroeger, Bowes, Knevitt...

Probably Kroeger, Simpson, Willis, Knevitt won't make it, with injuries and maybe not good enough I think.

If we don't get a key defender, we need to get the best outside mid... maybe Jacob Ryan as an outside mid or defender.

Knevitt is criminally underrated around here. Time will tell.

The afl trying to make more product by splitting the draft ... has made a yawn feat of the first round ... not till late did it really get interesting. One can only hope tonight is more riveting.

If they really want to copy the draft over seas.... then you have to really copy it.

Would the draft day movie really work without the ability for the costner character to trade players?

If all goes to plan and we have a selection at 52, Clohesy Cat B and Riccardi rookie, how many other picks if any will we have in the rookie draft.

2 other cat a rookie picks we would have (in addition to osca and dempsey)

Sheesh! You've just put a line thru Wellsy's 2021 draft after a year to the day... bar Conway who is probably another 3 seasons away.
Big Big call... Must admit I Don't see... Yet.

You've been right this month already, hope you're due to be wrong.
I hope I'm wrong too obviously but I just think he's slow with no tricks.

You've just described Charlie Constable and Cooper Stephens pretty much lol.
FWIW i think Knevitt has much more to offer than Cooper ever did.
Congrats on your Clark pick. Hope he lives up to all the hype.

Both Constable and Stephens know how to find the ball.

Bit like Selwood and Atkins then.

Leg speed would have to be the most overrated trait in our game.
Both of those compensate their lack of speed in other areas.

In 15 VFL games Knevitt averaged 15.5 dpg.

I'm not writing him off but I see nothing at the moment that screams AFL player.

Let's hope he puts on some more size and gains a little more confidence.
