Without banging on about other clubs I can understand why Hawks moved up the order but they paid a big price. Weddle could be something else. Possible wingman, back/forward swingman. Looks a smoother mover than Ralphsmith and taller and stronger aerially.
I think they will probably play him on a wing like Richo. Weddle probably was probably a bit under the radar from reports and I think should have been rated higher based on the vision. Not saying Bontempelli but potentially a real future force. For potential Weddle have to be top ten in my books

I think the Saints player they got from SA should have went higher

Yeah, anything could happen. He does move well for a tall guy I think. Does not have Richo's speed and raw athleticism but still, he moves like a outside mid at least. Better prospect than Nick Cox I think, especially regarding meat on the bone but also movement. He does look a better contested mark. He is a far better mover as a prospect than CCJ, far more versatile than CCJ based on his physical profile. CCJ was a ruck forward type whereas this guy moves like a outside mid. Moves better than Ed Allan to I think, I think Ed is a lot risky of the two. With Weddle he looks high chance to play wing and ability to contest in back and forward halves. Ed is a little more of a inbetweener and harder to get a read on how well he could go or not I think. It looks like Weddle can cover the ground as a wingman which is the main thing in terms of assurance for that role as a taller guy

Be interesting to see if we really do rate Munkara. Looking at the picks I wonder who would trade back to our #48? Are we able to trade a future 3rd or 4th? I wonder if we go to the dogs if Munkara isn't picked at #39 and said we'll swap our #48 & a future 4th. Can then still pick a Scully or Petric at #55.
I don't think we can do any trades. We can't trade out our future 3rd and 4th because we traded out our future 1st I think.

Do GWS have any academy kids to be picked up with later picks? Wonder if the campaigners will do us a solid and flick us their pick 51 for our picks in the 70’s. Surely they won’t need it after taking 5 good earlier picks!
