That's why I like the Scorchers though, in a league where 75% of the teams have a culture of 'sinking pints and hitting bombs' they treat it as professionally as a pro sports team should. That's one thing Langer should take a lot of credit for.

The idea of ''sticking it to the East Coast'' probably appeals to them too. They would have seen CA paying Dave Warner and possibly paying Steve Smith to play in this season's BBL and used that as motivation to win the title as well. I've seen QLD use any slight, perceived or otherwise to motivate them in State of Origin rugby league work often enough and I can definitely see similarities with the Scorchers too.

Whatever that was, it was great sport and great entertainment.

Yes the comp has lots to improve, but the T20 format can be wildly entertaining, which is what you want.

That final goes down as one of the best.

Thankfully I usually watch on fox so don’t hear them too much. Seven should never have gotten the cricket but once Richie and Greigy carked it it was always going to be tough to hold on to the commentators .
