Looked to me to be playing exclusively on the wing. Stayed more involved than he usually does and used very well. Kicked an opportunist little soccer goal from a meter out. I noticed him - but that might be because I was looking for him on account of being fed up with the trash Brodie Smith keeps dishing up.
He played on the wing for Much of the game but then went to half back after 3/4 Time

Nank played his best game of the year today and was one of the teams
Best players. He played on Flinayson at times and took him to the cleaners. He has looked a little lost in defence up until today but he played well spoiling when necessary and taking good marks when in the best position He has a great kick in him but he still needs to work on his left foot
Didn’t really notice him at the time but now you mention it I agree - Nank very good.

Our midfield in the reserves will gain over 100 possessions most weeks

Brown was our most effective midfielder today and looks very comfortable at this level. Although I love Taylor Browns Game today should see him catapulted into the league team this week possibly for harry. He got a lot of clearances and used his pace Which I did not think he had to advantage. His bigger body was noticeable in the clinches. He often gets the ball out to others when he is on the move

Arguably our best player today was Gollant. He led well and hard and took numerous contested marks against good opposition. Really worked hard and kicked 6 goals at least. Kicked well and I only wish he played liked this in the preseason where he was listless and very quiet in Match sim and practice matches

Ned was busy again and used the ball well by hand and foot. He missed an easy goal a La crows specialty but he was one of the best and is close to being recalled on this form. He is very confident and capable at this level

Jones I didn’t notice very much but he’s a pretty non descript looking guy. He could’ve had 30 touches for all I know. Missed a couple of gettable but not gimme set shots in the first quarter and took a nice body on body mark and goal in the second. At that point I noticed he’d had (at least) three shots and wondered if he was playing forward. He wasn’t. He was on a wing. Did a couple of other good things as well but didn’t jump out at me.

Keane didn’t make any obvious mistakes but the defence wasn’t very busy either. Took a couple of nice intercept marks. Otherwise didn’t notice him. Came off under the blood rule with a cut on his eye/face at one stage.
Cheers

Bond really struggling atm and found it difficult to get much of the ball. Looks to be hampered by knee strapping and maybe back. Played in the midfield and did have have a better last qr

Borlase and Keane i thought were very good and were very dependable in the back half Keane uses the ball well and can take a good grab. He does not appear to get flustered when under pressure

Borlase after a poor internal trial and match sims when taken to the cleaners by fog and Tex has been very good in defence and in ruck. He looks more confident and stronger than last year

Magden was disappointing today and in the last qr today was out marked by lord badly on two occasions

is Keane happy to run from defence

Newchurch continues to frustrate he could have kicked 5 today but buggered up two goals in the last qr and he was making poor decisions with ball in hand. When he kicked his goals he looked a class above

Jones would need 2 games to get 30 touches

Hately got a lot of the ball and looks to have Improved his fitness and pace
Since last year. Still makes poor decisions with ball at
Times but at this level he dominates

Our top ups are the best we have had for many years. Oloughlin uses the ball well and can play. Sharrad is very good at this level as is Boyle. Haysman played well today and Wright and magden will be influential at this level
Sharrad likely won't be available for the 1st 2 games, can't see anyway he gets off the 2 game ban , reckon this challenge is an exercise in futility....he should have accepted the 1 game with a guilty plea.
