Brisbane are the best team. The run on of goals they produced against Collingwood was frightening. Felt like that could have been a 100 point win.

Better team now I think. Went out and got two Premiership players in the off season which will help massively.

I just think they seem more mature and ready to go.

Most teams lose at least 1 game at their own ground so I'd say lions will lose min 1 at home but win some away.

Should be top 4. from there it's anyones

Probably right re the Gabba. Unfortunately, the GF is not at the Gabba. If they don’t finish top 2, neither will the prelim. They won’t be beating any of coll/melb/geel at the G in a big final. People reckon Carlton have a lot of down hill skiers on the books?? Christ, try j Daniher e hipwood c Cameron and co on for size

I think they beat Collingwood in a final anywhere. They are a nightmare match up for them. Brisbane have quality talls everywhere which is Collingwoods biggest issue. Also brisbane have a better midfield.

I would go Brisbane-Melbourne-Geelong-Collingwood in that order for the top 4.

Lions beat Melbourne at the G last year Dees are very shaky at the moment not sure Collingwood has the defence to go with Lions forward lineup Geelong would probably be the only worry I would say

top 8 i have after rd 6:

1. collingwood (they just keep rolling along with the wins)
2. melbourne ( they have the cattle)
3. geelong (not done with yet still good enough for top 4 just)
4. lions (win matches at gabba and the occasional away match they get into the top 4)
5. saints (great year but will slide down a bit as the season wears on)
6. swans (bit of a downer from 2022 but will feature bottom half of the 8)
7. dogs (blue chip they make finals all the time kind of always a token apperance tho)
8. essendon (just make it they will slide more then saints but just do enough to just sneak in there)

stiff to miss: carlton port and crows

2024 already for hawks eagles suns freo and tigers

With De Goey in this form they are a strong group. Pendlebury is a timeless champion, Sidebottom not too far behind (a bit less consistent). J.Daicos one of the better classic wingman in the comp. Mitchell a big addition adding the grunt with Adams, Crisp and Naicos the dangerous outside players they feed it to. It's a deeper midfield than Melbourne or Brisbane's and is the heart of everything good they do when they're "on". If anything there are more weak links in the forward line or even defence (controversial I know).

I just can't see how they only lose three more games for the rest of the season. FWIW, I had them 5th in my pre-season predictor but I have them missing the finals. They haven't performed well all year.

Agree, we are super through the midfield and have plenty of variety.

Our "weakness" is a lack of an elite tall forward. Mihocek and McStay are solid workhorses.

Down back we are fine, our defensive system is to be uber aggressive which means if we get it wrong up the field teams can get easy scores "out the back".
