I agree but can we please stop highlighting this as an extraordinary feat. Fresh legs and fresh body vs gassed players - of course he is going to ‘dominate’
It wasn’t his fresh legs as much as his footy smarts, effective disposals, pin point delivery to Hollands in the the forward line etc.

Diws not the answer but ffs play him. Then end of year start money balling around get rif of him and 6 or 7 others or more and bring in players who are fringe at good clubs
Cripps is a problem in that if he isn't dominating he is a liability as he offers nothing defensively. Dow would be like that, without Cripps strength.

In saying this if we hear Cripps isn't fully right, ffs don't play him!

Harry has zero second efforts and it's shits me. He has one go then drops his head or flops his arms around.
After such a promising pre season when he was apparently flying, he has been so shithouse this year. Only time he looks good is marking it 70+ metres from goal.

But the delivery to him tonight was atrocious, never had a chance. Sat it on his head every time

I guess the best point of comparison would be with how other players perform in a quarter and a bit as sub. I haven't spent any time looking at it, but my gut feel is that Kennedy has been above average.

Did you watch the same game l was. We were smashed and got 5 junk time goals when games was over. In the heat of the game the premiership quarter we were destroyed. The margin made us look good. All stats point to us winnibg by 5 goals. But chipping the ball around doesnt lead to anything.
I don't think I did watch the same game, and I don't think my expectations are as high as yours.

2 of the Lions goals in the first were from direct errors by our boys. First Saad's hard work was undone ending with Daniher kicking the luckiest goal of his career (the look on his face after he scored said it all), and the other was Weitering picking out a Lions player under no pressure at all.

You didn't see that? Did you also ignore our effort even in the last to keep pushing even though most of our sulking supporters left in the third quarter? Tell me who had more 'mental fortitude', the players making mistakes and playing to the final siren or the fans who left with 45 min still to play?

Have a cup of tea and calm down.

If we hadn’t already killed the career of too many coaches recently, Voss would be sacked.

Clearly sacking the coach isn’t viable so we are stuck with him. Every person who has something to give and loves Carlton needs to help this list get out of this whole.

One of the most frustrated Carlton crowds that I have seen in a very long time.

It’s sad for anyone who is passionate about a club to never see a premiership in their lifetime.

I remember when this rebuild started, being understanding of the losses. I would always tell my dad who fired up over every mistake that it would turn soon. Here I am almost a decade later watching the same mistakes and sounding just like my dad.

I’m envious of anyone who has even seen the blues in a losing grand final.

Me too :(

..........except when he lit it up in the first qtr, hit up targets coming at him in F50. Makes huge smothers, out rucks Pitto against a much taller Oscar, plays an on ball role as an old fashioned ruck rover, runs from fwd pocket to back pocket to assist in saving goals, uses his smarts to bring others into the game, kicks a goal a game on everage (vale Dame E)...except for those things he just is not up to it, I agree.

He took 5 marks (same as Harry, one less than Charlie) and had a disposal efficiency of about 70%. I know JSOS is the new whipping boy around here, but singling him out for criticism this week is a bit ridiculous.

Harry and Charlie are Coleman medallist’s who have won us multiple games off their own boot. Jack has kicked 80 goals in 100+ games. He tries his heart out no doubt but ask yourself if someone else like Honey, Owies or Durdin served up those stats would you want him in your team?

Some of the posts in here are sickening.

Talking about taking positives out of this game. Oh it was only 4 goals etc.

We have 0 depth. We have 0 plan B. A 1 paced midfield who are generally average ball users at best.

This list is not finishing top 4 let alone winning a flag.
Brisbane's side is stacked, anyone who thinks we have as much talent as Brisbane is kind of insane.

Compare the respective forward lines. We have Charlie and Harry, who are comparable to Daniher and Hipwood (probably better, but in same ball park). For the rest we have Motlop, Durdin, Honey and JSOS. They have Charlie Cameron, Bailey and Gunston. They are a fair bit better everything being equal. For us to win, we needed guys like Cripps, Cerra, Walsh, Harry, Saad and Charlie to play out of their skins.

He's a comfortable, multi-millionaire 20 something and it shows. A shocking loss that helps to further derail our season and our captain is having a good laugh about it. Says everything - about him & the club. We have no leaders.
Seems a bit rude considering the number of times he's personally had to drag the team along, including this year. Seriously, watch any player in literally any game on the final siren and get mad on behalf of other teams' fans or something

I'm fine mate it is just a game and not an unexpected loss in my books.
Wasn't unexpected. Kids went alright. It's the "leaders" that were the issue tonight.

Cripps, Walsh, Acres, Weitering, Newman. Ed.

Seriously in a packed forward line how often did we pick out a Brisbane player 20m on his own? Bizarre.

Carlton list management didn't do much over the summer, they must have rated the list a bit better than what it is [emoji848]

Honey had 2 marks and a disposal efficiency of 37.5%. If he'd served up a performance like JSOS tonight it would have been a vast improvement.
