Harry and Charlie are Coleman medallist’s who have won us multiple games off their own boot. Jack has kicked 80 goals in 100+ games. He tries his heart out no doubt but ask yourself if someone else like Honey, Owies or Durdin served up those stats would you want him in your team?
Do Honey, Owies or Durdin give you 100% effort, flexibility to play multiple roles, chop out admiriably in the ruck, or take a mark down the line?

No?

Correct.

Jack every time

I think its pretty simple and id be surprised if Cook and Sayers werent thinking the same, Voss has 15 weeks to make the 8. We have to be ruthless and move him on if we have gone backwards and miss finals. I truly believe the talent is there and we cannot waste this list. This is 100% on Coaching.

When you actually look back at the first 10 weeks of last year there was a hell of a lot of luck involved and 2 or 3 very poor performances amongst them.

He has 15 weeks to find something.

It really isn't.

If we hadn’t already killed the career of too many coaches recently, Voss would be sacked.

Clearly sacking the coach isn’t viable so we are stuck with him. Every person who has something to give and loves Carlton needs to help this list get out of this whole.

One of the most frustrated Carlton crowds that I have seen in a very long time.
When it comes to sacking, why focus on Voss. We should push for of Sayers because he got scared out of pressing ahead with the Ross Lyon appointment.
Sayers is just another of these overly ambitious modern corporate types whose networking ability outstrips their real ability and real quality of judgment.
‘They are invariably a triumph of form over substance.

I'd be concerned about how the team is progressing if the coach wasn't carrying a few too many players that wouldn't be getting a game in any other top8 contending side mate - my realism makes me immune to a loss and my optimism makes me happy - but my disdain for the 'entitled' who post dribbly comments that make no sense and convey no meaning sometimes needs voicing.
Other clubs succeed with average players. Is Berry better than Hewett or Kennedy? No? Is Harmes better than our midfielders? Tonnes of top 8 teams have shit players, but the system prevails. Richmond's success was based on a bunch of Reserve Grade hacks with a solid game style.

Seems a bit rude considering the number of times he's personally had to drag the team along, including this year. Seriously, watch any player in literally any game on the final siren and get mad on behalf of other teams' fans or something
Look - we are all supporters who love this club and we are all entitled to our opinions. Nothing 'rude' about it. Nothing. This side just continues to give us nothing for our devotion and endless support.

Lewis Young is the worst exponent of the spoil for a key defender I have ever seen. He struggles to get any distance on his spoils, and the majority go straight in front into the corridor. I counted at least 5 occassions that his spoils went directly to the opposition.

I'm a massive Newman fan, but he played with arrogance today. Paid no respect to Cameron all game, standing off him at centre stoppages, trying to play 3rd man up, handing Cameron off to other players. Cameron was unbelievable - extremely impressive live.

You do realise we have overpaid players to the max. We have a list that is ageing fast and wont get any quicker and smarter. We have 10 to 15 players on oour list who wouldnt get a game at any top 8 team. Unless we money ball. we arent going anywhere and when tassie comes in these guys will leave is for free agency
"moneyball".

C'mon, I hardly think most people around here (but not you, I'm sure) have enough faith in stats to buy into a proper moneyball approach. Plus, I don't think there's enough predictability in football (the fact there's an opposition doesn't help) to offer an opportunity to really moneyball it. PLUS plus, like "humblebrag", no one seems to use "moneyball" correctly

If Curnow or McKay don't carry we don't win. Too many passengers in our forward line that aren't consistent goalkickers and its been like this forever. Enough is enough. Play Mcgovern forward. A genuine 3rd goalkicking forward that actually complements the twin towers.
How can Charlie an Harry carry when we're getting smacked at the centre bounces????

Seems harsh. Think he'll be there when we unfurl our next flag. I know I will be.

We must have a snooze at half time in the change rooms, it takes 3/4 of the 3rd to wake up again. Time to remove the palm trees pina coladas and hammocks 'cause it's not working, this trend is becoming tiresome.

Wow that was hard to watch at the game with my 2 sons. Not surprised to hear that we came back into the game when it was already well and truly lost. We, like about a third of the crowd, couldn't get out of there quickly enough.

I don't think I have ever seen us play a game with worst disposal. It's like we were playing for the Clanger Cup. Surely the majority of their score came from turnovers?

Weiters looks like he doesn't care any more. Made multiple stuff ups and it didn't seem to bother him at all. He used to be the general in defence, he now hardly talks to the other defenders. Something massively wrong.

Might have been different on TV but if someone had of told me that Walsh was a late out, I would have believed them. Did not notice anything positive he did.

Blacres might as well been wearing a Lions jumper as he hit them lace out more times than I could count. Just demoralising stuff.

Adam Cerra was our best by far and almost the only one who can hold his head high.

It was a very depressing train ride home.

Not sure if we have the players or coaches to turn it around.

If you don't rate our players then why do you care if they leave?

You're seriously overreacting and you know it. Calm down.

Could not agree with you more. I personally think we should trade him at year's end - He goes to water so easily when pressure is applied.
Far out, one of our biggest issues is our delivery to our forward line, which is what's stopping it reaching its full potential, and you want to trade a building block away?

In what world would we have dropped Cripps, the number 1 contested ball winner this year in the AFL going into tonight, to test this?
Basically we should re-arrange the side to accomodate and build around Dow, for a minimum of the rest of the season at least, according to some.

That isn't our issue. We don't need more unaccountable midfielders, Dow offers more of what we already have, but not as good.

Where we lack, is dynamic play makers, small forwards and half forwards, Dow is none of those things. I am sure Dow will get games, but we'd be better off letting him go and get a more balanced list.

If anyone wants Dow in for Honey or Durdin/Motlop, they should be barred from the forum. It would be a way to completely kill Dow's career, as that isn't what he is good at.

We have a below average ruck as well, but Dow isn't going to change that. Hollands isn't the finished article yet, but Dow isn't going to play wing better. Cincotta is just ok, but Dow isn't going to help there either.

Kennedy is better than Dow, and he isn't even in the 22.

Good:
Cerra - best player by a country mile this year. Looks the complete package - we need to find a way to get him in a first receiver position more often because he's the only mid we have that I'm confident will actually kick to a forward's advantage and not into the Marvel Stadium roof
Docherty - tried his guts out. If this group can't get up for this man's 150th then they can't get up for anything
Kennedy's last quarter - get him in the 22 next week
Cincotta looks solid at the level
Hollands doesn't stop - but ball use is VERY sloppy. Microcosm of whole team

Bad:
The rest lol
Walsh's kicking - atrocious
Cripps invisible after QT
Midfield comprehensively smashed
Weitering - don't know whats happening upstairs but whatever it is needs sorting out. Atrocious, gifted the Lions 3 goals in the first term from his own errors alone. Totally different game if we go into QT 2-3 goals up rather than level
Overall leadership - bereft of it
Honey - sorry, just not up to the level for mine. Too peripheral, doesn't impact the contest, doesn't even really pressure. We are SCREAMING for a pacy, classy HFF that can pinch hit in the middle and I can't see anyone on our list that fits the bill
Saad's second efforts - he gets a reprieve due to generally being good but not impressed with some of the s**t I saw tonight

We keep playing like this and we will end up with 4.5 wins heading into the Essendon game in R13. Vossy going to be struggling to keep his job if this is what eventuates
We all yearn for classy HFF’s and we have 2 on the list that never play in Martin and Cuners. So much for that..

He may not be Wayne Johnson, but Cotts is our best bet and we need him in asap, hopefully next week.
