More than happy to play them with a fit Hawkins, without Stewart getting injured 10 mins in, without Stengle and SDK spending a quarter+ injured, with JHenry, Duncan and Kolodjashnij down back…
even then, we struggled to beat them in 22, and they are better this year; we have not seen top form yet this season

I haven't really been watching Collingwood matches, but I'm super impressed by their game. Their ball movement is superb.
Unfortunately I agree... I hate Collingwood... them and Hawthorn are my most hated teams, But Collingwood on paper they look like a average side. Geelong, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, even Port Adelaide on paper look like such a better side. But they just so play well as a team.. they are currently the clear Premiership favourites

Yep- play the granny this week and they win I think (if they can knock off dees ).
Long way to go. Who was winning the flag this time a year ago? Dees?
Their fans are getting very full of themselves which is always helpful. Hubris and all that.;)

not sure about the paper you refer to, but their list is fine

Well favourites anyway. They have a fantastic system- they can miss a few players and it won’t hurt them. Maybe Moore - hard to cover? Even little daicos could be covered I reckon. Their top 10 players are all pretty even. Even across the board. Great to watch. But it’s a demanding form of footy, so not throwing in the towel at this point!

The Pies play that Richmond brand of chaos ball going forward that was so successful for the Tigers a few years ago. It's very hard to stop (as we know) if played at this kind of level and skill. They'll go well in the finals if they can continue it for the whole season and get a decent run with injuries.

Learned today a titan of sport has passed, Jim Brown. Too young to see him play, but grew up with his highlights. A man playing against boys, really. Left the NFL before any decline, dealt with a lot of racism, civil rights activist, actor, just a freaking icon. Don't know who from the Aus Rules past would be the equivalent, but he was bigger, faster, tougher as any in that brutal era, AND he was the running back.

this classic clip from Richard Pryor illustrates a lot about the guy.

I think they have the next two wins in the bag... puts them 11 and 1 ... which historically almost certain GF... and very good chance of flag.
Here are the teams that have started 10-1 or better in recent times.

Melbourne 2022.
Melbourne 2021 (premiers).
Geelong 2019.
West Coast 2018 (premiers).
North Melbourne 2016.
Fremantle 2015.
Port Adelaide 2014.
Hawthorn 2013 (premiers).
Geelong 2013.
Geelong 2011 (premiers).
Collingwood 2011 (GF).

Actually there are more teams that didn't make the GF than did make it after having a blistering start.
