Really dumb reporting imo, the $$$$ Darcy is being mentioned as commanding are quite big and our CEO has said we are going to the draft.

That's insane money for a ruckman....but it also reports that the Dockers are on the verge of re-signing him. Which in turn means the Cats will more than likely turn their full attention to TDK, given they've signaled their desperation to bring in a ruckman.

Reckon we could see some pretty big $$ being thrown at TDK by them.

Geelongs 1st or no deal imo.

Let's do this trade right. He's up and coming and they want him. Plus theres decent money being discussed by other clubs for TDK. He's in demand! Geelong will be desperate for him. Pick 9 and they can take our 2024 3rd.

I don't think many teams would stump up more than about pick 18 for TDK unless he has a big 2nd half of the season. If he ends up staying I'd like to see him trialled down back in pre season for a period.

You can always find a cheap 2nd tier Ruckman.

Interesting that it was reported that Zac Fisher wants out of Carlton after being dropped twice this season.

Couldn’t say goodbye quick enough, poor performer and attitude to go with it.

He wants to play. I don’t begrudge him for it but he should see out his contract and try to impact the team in other ways. Been at the club for a long time now.

With all the issues of our list I would be absolutely stunned beyond belief if we traded for Darcy who would come with an enormous contract cost too.

That it is by the rules in-season, yes (though everyone does it) but you don’t go on the record as factually incorrect if it’s not the case. Think S.Lucas may have some scruples.

Anyone who thinks high/er profile media types are beating the pavement for stories is kidding themselves. On the up, or re-emerging types gather the intel for them to pass on. Or they get it from connected media personalities. It’s why the are on talk back radio, not writing articles.
Generally speaking though, they don’t speak rubbish otherwise they aren’t in radio very long.

Pitt is a better ruck than TDK imo. Think both work well if TDK can impact up forward and the duo give us a better chance of winning

He didn’t actually say that - he said “I wouldn't absolutely dismiss Carlton from the Sean Darcy situation” given than Pitto is on a low cost contract and that we will have some cap space open up. It sounded like he was throwing out clubs that could make a play who still need a ruckman long-term. Didn’t sound like he was implying he had heard something.

Sides usually go with less rucks than 5+ years ago as if one goes down you can always get one in the mid season draft.

Not that it matters much but he literally signed a new contract right before the trade period because he refused to be traded so notwithstanding your very good source I think it's highly unlikely.
