The notion that this whole Wagner PWC drama this morning is "perfect bait for Ukraine" sort of ignores the reality of the situation on the ground over the last week; Ukraine has been retaking key villages, towns, and areas back. Prigohzin himself was the one who publicly announced several of the Russian losses earlier this week - go see his comments from 21 and 22 June to see for yourself.

I don't think today's events will change the Ukranian strategy significantly in the short-term at all.

Well while we're on the topic of Putin making 300IQ moves; having his Army shoot and kill fellow Russians would massively undercut public morale and support for the ongoing conflict, and potentially destabalise the cohesion of the military leaders around him.

No, you've misunderstood; Wagner PWC probably doesn't care about shooting some Russian army regulars protecting the SMD in Rostov.

But Putin probably cannot risk having Russian army regulars shooting fellow Russians, even if those fellow Russians are Wagner PWC mercs storming their building.

Regardless though, I think what is more likely is that the Russian army regulars either;

1) Hadn't received orders on how to handle this, so took the path of least resistance
and/or
2) Are sympathetic to Prighozin.

(And all of this is assuming that those buildings were even guarded by Russian army troops. Which I've actually seen no evidence of. There's some twitter reports suggesting Russian MOD leaders 'fled' Rostov this morning but as we all keep saying - take those with a massive grain of salt).

So, the question needs to be asked, how many other things do you get wrong? You think players and playing well when maybe they’re not. Has nothing to do with “looking at the stats sheet” but all about your ability to watch a game and understand what’s happening. Again, you’re a fraud.

Maybe, or maybe they're not in conflict. I don't understand why Russian regular army soldiers would join Wagner (unless maybe they were promised a pay rise.) I don't understand why the regular army would be sympathetic to him either given how much crap he seems to talk.
