Who's a better player - Mount or Maddison?

Both English with one year left on their contract. Only two years apart in age.

I feel like 65m is too much for Mount and 50m is about right for Maddison but no one wants to pay that price. I think Spurs will try and negotiate down to 40m for Maddison.

Chelsea seems to be pretty stubborn on the Mount price.

Considering he had one year left on his contract and club was relegated..no way Maddison is worth £50m. But with clubs throwing silly money about who knows. I would’ve thought £35-40m for Maddison is pretty reasonable

Depends if you value work rate and athleticism vs quality on the ball I suppose.

I'd rate them about the same. Mount is more flexible and works harder. Maddison is more skillful and takes a good free kick.

I agree £65m is too much for Mount. Chelsea need to sell players and no one else seems to be interested. Maddison's fee will depend on which clubs are interested. Spurs and Newcastle have been mentioned. Spurs can't offer him Champions League.

Harvey Barnes will probably be on the move too. £35m maybe?

Man Utd surely should just go as far as 50m and leave it at that. Not like Mount wants to stay or has anyone else chasing him plus he will be worth bugger all in Jan window.
Theres only £8m between whats offered and what will be accepted, it'll get done. United will want to get their number 1 target soted before preseason starts.

A lot of money for two.guys who have been in terrible form over the last 18 months.

Bit of a gamble, were they in bad form or are they just a bit s**t.
Your whole club has been shit for 18 months. Can't blame the players for the club imploding.
