Upsets the entire morale structure. It becomes a culture issue. Darling didn't even have to rock up to training for 6 months. NicNat doesn't train. Gaff gives no shits.

We are at our lowest ebb and need support. We fund WA football with the dockers and more than pay our way.
We more than make an effort as a club. 40000 people (including me) still turn up.
Unfortunately we are so conservative we stick with the same people and show too much loyalty. We don’t trade hard enough and won’t change.
Don’t underestimate the ructions caused by having to let so many loyal long term staff go during Covid due to the drop in the soft cap.
Us supporters will continue to support. The club management needs change but we can’t do anything.
That said, I have been so lucky to support such a great club.

I dislike West Coast, but you have to feel for the players and coaches. Simmo has to go tonight/tomorrow, and its a horrid way for him to go given the recent success.
Port Adelaide 2011 territory now, 122 and 171 points in succession, Port had 138 and 165 in succession. And at that point for Port there was serious talk of them folding.
The tanking is becoming pretty obvious with the lack of effort, selections, poor coaching and players missing for illness/injuries other clubs would play through. AFL probably needs to start thinking about what punishment WC tankers should get, lose 1st or 2nd round pick or both?
