The white shorts policy is stupidly outdated. Hawks should either wear their home shorts, or bring back the black shorts they wore back in the day. Makes no sense for the away team to wear white shorts when their opponents jumper has that much white.

Giants could wear orange and the tigers wear black and it would look much better.

There are far more clashing elements I think in this situation though.

Darkish guernseys, red sponsor and white numbers on dark back.

You could even go for a lighter purple which would be even better.

On a side note, I think there needs to be a rule regarding teams that wear a prominent amount of white each week. (Collingwood, Geelong, North, Sydney) When playing against these sides, all others teams MUST NOT, wear white shorts, It's just smarter that way.

Did it start with North requesting their original home guernsey back and being able to wear it with blue shorts?

I thought Adelaide v GWS was a bit clashy last night. GWS should have been in white.
