Yeah mate he did.

should be a good game this week, hope we get a few players back , dont think people should compare that we lost agaisnt parkside then macleod won easy, we had a bad day but i admit parkside played terrific and they deserved the win.

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

I agree macleod by 10 - 13 goals.

theres no way macleod is a 10-13 goal better side then lalor. you cant ride a team off after 1 poor performace against parkside,

ill be interested 2 hear what you have to say if lalor get up snorta

in saying this i dont think lalor will get up and that macleod definatly deserve to go into the game as favorites, but surly they deserve a little bit of credit and respect

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

Well I hope Lalor are at full strength so it gives us (Macleod) a true
indication of where we are at.

I suspect that Lalor may put too much focus on Puffer which is mighty
dangerous considering the bevy of talent in the entire team.

Maybe Leskie will run amok again. His last 1/4 against Mernda was
sensational

Macleod will be close to full strength. Any goss on Lalor ?

we have a few out. but what ever side you put on the park should perform. i think the game will be won in the midfield stop the supply and forwards cant kick goals. not going to say much more, going to be a cracker game think lalor by 8 points.

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

hes been very busy a with work but i think hes found himself a ladie friend.

So your saying he has copped the old Pwhip (0)~~~ (that's my lame attempt of what a pussy whip would look like in PC form)?:D

I knew something had to have changed in his life for him not to be posting on here. Loved it!

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

confrimation:

divi 1 and 2 grand finals to be played at kramer street oval

maybe other finals to be played there also.

whichever finals cant be played there will be played at epping (div 1 and 2) and whittlesea (div 2)

what are your thoughts

mate ur spot on with what you said " stop the supply and forwards cant kick goals". its fair 2 say that macleod look for puffa wen going forward, and so they should considering the bags of goals he's kikt for them this year, however if his held to 2-3 goals lalor are a show. make no mistak mafalovski is the best ruckmen in the competition and hell give first use to his midfielders. i just think puffa's the key to this game, how he plays will determine the result in my opinion.

Sounds great to me, all pretty good grounds!

if u blokes get up, i will admit u played a bad game against parkside!!!

if not and u get beat by what i said it will just confirm what everyone else already thinks.

u will definitely need to win the ball out of the middle consistently to be any chance, they have some bloody fast midfielders who hit targets!!!! If maff is as good as u say he is then u could rein that 10-13 goal diff in, but it is gunna take more than one player to get anywhere near beating macleod.:)

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

Went to watch Macleod train on Tuesday night ahead of the match of the round this weekend. I must say that I have seen them train on a few Tuesday nights this season and this was by far the most intense they have been. The numbers on track were also very good for a Tuesday. I get the impression that they are priming themselves for a big day this Saturday, hence the reason behind Tuesday nights attitude.
Anyone from macleod care to add something to this?

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

This weeks tips:

Lower Plenty V Parkside: Lower by 3 goals
Macleod V Lalor: Macleod by under 12 points.
South Morang V Kinglake: Morang easily
Thomastown V Panton Hill: Thommo by 8 goals
Wallan V Hurstbridge: Hursty by 10 goals
Watsonia V Heidelberg West: Watsy by 10-15 goals
Whittlesea V Mernda: Sea's by 8-10 goals

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

Junior: Thanks for the offer mate. I might take you up on it, although I hadn't planned on venturing anywhere tonight....bad night for training with the weather looking the way it is.

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

heard that the Wallan/Kinglake game had more than a few scraps in it and that the Wallan guys were not to impressed with the Kinglake attack on the man instead of the ball, any truth in it????

Only real fights were at the end of the game with about 25 blokes having a crack in front of the Kinglake coaches box whilst another 5 or 6 swapped pleasentries 70 metres away about 5 minutes from the end. The Wallan boys didn't mind the fight but there were a couple of incidents that were pretty ordinary:
1/ A Wallan player having to leave the ground after being punched in the Niagaras whilst watching play a fair way from the action in the third. The kinglake bloke ran past and gave a big upper cut to the groin. Not good.
2/ The so called gun forward from Kinglake who's only kick was to the guts of one of the Wallan players in the last quarter. This helped escalate the fight.

Excellent work by the Wallan coach who got both teams together and cooled the situation after the siren when it had the potential to erupt again.

This was one game I have watched. To say Lalor had a bad performance, is totally taking away P'Side effort. Lalor played well. P'Side played better. The last Qtr was one of the best Qtr's of Div 2 footy i have watched. Both teams had the lead, and one team kept it.

Lalor did not play badly. In fact they played well. P'Side played better.

The only side currently outside the top 6 who could, and i think will come in would be Thomastown. I think they have a handy draw too.

mase i can tell you for sure it has not been confirmed yet but will more than likely happen which i think would be a great thing!!! it makes it harder for you guys anyway...

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

junior, its unofficially confirmed. trust me. got good sources in very very high places.;)

Re: Northern Football League Division 2

Left this out of my summary of last divvy 2 match i saw.
Tips for Lalor this week, and following teams preceeding weeks.
Puffa lost the plot early in the 2nd qtr vs P'Side. He threw half a dozen hay-makers at the opposition full-back. Similar to the A.Lynch - Wakelin stouch in the granny. Except the P'Side f.b didnt throw any back.
Puffa was clearly not happy with the fact that the P'Side fb was able to get a spoil to the ball, and hence proceeded to tell him so, through his knuckles. He ended up actually sitting on him, and it took 4 guys from both teams to remove the big boy from the back of the other bloke.
I had a good view of it, and the field ump was looking the other way during the fist throwing. Puff recieved a yellow card. P'side bench went off tap, and MacLeod supporters were quiet. Stunned it seemed.
I recall many months ago reading a post on here, describing puffa as a bloke who does not get into punch-ups. Well mate, you were wrong.
If the ump saw it, Puffa would have recieved at least 2 wks. Boundary did see it, but she was a 16 yr old girl. Fair enough she didnt want to report too. She would have been shaking in her slippers.

MacLeod boys, remember this incident ?

Lalor and following teams, the big boy is easily un-nerved. Took P'Side FB 35 min to do so. This may help. Then again, with MacLeods side, they aint short of goal-kickers, and it may be a detriment to the opposition, as MacLeod will become less predictable. Hence harder to cover.

That's a shame that you have a few out. I'm sure that Lalor has
the depth to cover the losses.

I agree, the midfield is where it's going to be decided, however, it must
be noted that Macleod's midfielders are also goal kickers

A Bennett 16
J Bennett 10
Zinga 9
Nanners 5

as are the multiple tall forwards

Puffer 73
Simo 23
Shawy 13
Willo 12
OB 12

And before I forget the quarterbacks

Jack 11
Wattsy 5

Adding a plethorea of smalls kicking fowards

Shauny 5
Mitch 5

Blow me ! That's 13 possible kicking options.
The Lalor boys would want to be on their game
As I mentioned in my previous thread, if Lalor put all of their focuses
on Puffer, think again. The game planned has changed

Let's hope for a great contest, good barracking from both teams
and no incidents within the arena or the public viewing.

Good luck to both teams
