I wonder what the medical staff take on this year with how many injuries and do we have any underlying factor.

So no Esava, No Close as there both injured, AFL app has Hawkins injured? Is that true on Hawkins
Pfft about all them, what I want to know is - will Tom DK be available to play in the hoops again on Saturday night...

From Sarah Black's match report:

Cats talls left short

With Mark Blicavs, Rhys Stanley, Jon Ceglar, Jack Henry and Gary Rohan already sidelined, the last type of player Geelong could afford to lose in-game was a tall. Esava Ratugolea's early hamstring injury meant Tom Stewart couldn't afford to roam too far from his opponent. Shannon Neale was forced to take a much larger portion of the ruck battles, with Tom De Koning's hands full with Max King.

I know, I honestly want to not play any player that is playing injured like Cameron and Dangerfield and if Hawkins so we can play kids next week
There's no point getting thumped by 100+ points though. And a half fit Cameron is essential to being competitive if we're already down Hawkins and Close in the forward line.

So something like

Ins - Guthrie, Knevitt, Conway, Dempsey, Mullin
Outs - Dangerfield, Sav, Hawkins, Close, Bews

That gets 4 more kids in while playing a team that shouldn't get completely smacked off the park.

Even that line up would make a lot of St Kilda fans angry. If we lose, chances are Bulldogs will knock them out of the top 8.

Only one id change is Hardie for Guthrie, honestly no point playing him after such a long time out of the game...
Plus giving Hardie a game will be good to see how he goes

But but but he kicked 7 goals last week.

Told ya's.
It's been very obvious. How he powered up for that Collingwood game I don't know, but it looked like it cooked him for yesterday.

What I want to know is if there was another issue, earlier on (from the Richmond or Freo game in round 9/10). That's when his kicking fell off a cliff and he was noticeably proppy without his burst of speed. Since the Melbourne incident it's obviously been much worse but there did seem to be an existing issue.

I wonder how much we'll find about various injuries players were playing through.

There's nothing to be gained by playing any injured/sore guys next week. Get a head start on recovery for next year and give some of the blokes chipping away at the lower level a taste of seniors as a carrot for the off-season.

There isnt but some of them might not want to miss Smith and Tuohy's etc farewell game (a bit like the last round 2015) and I can understand that culturally. I'd let one or two of the injured guys play (particularly Danger if he wants to since he's the captain) but not all of them.

For us at the moment it’s about next season.

Eagles are tanking before our very eyes. Simmo is calm. He has told them to play defence but not move the ball forward unless they have given the Dogs time to set up. Make it look like you can’t see anything, if need be send it sideways, and then kick to a contest. And you know what? It’s not sporting but it’s what is in their best interest. And if the Cats send out our bests to get injured next week I will be disappointed because not getting any players further beat up is now our best interest.

The Saints destiny is in their own hands.

Also, TK is a gun. It’s a shame he has been wasted at the Eagles during their injury crisis.

Cameron I think would like to help his Giants friends get there. Though you would think the decision would be taken out of hands.

As it should be for Guthrie.

Anyone carrying an injury should be sent to recover.

Menegola should play, not sure we lose much bringing in a fresh Menegola for what would be going out anyway.
