Damoin Barnett (sic!) wouldn't know the first thing about the onfield game, would have always been last picked in the playground at school - or not picked at all. His testicles finally descended in the 2010s only to re-ascend when Beveridge said "boo" to him. Not sure why anyone would care what he thinks - about anything.

(A bit too personal? Maybe, but tbh IDGAF about pillocks like him. A parasite with nothing of value to add to the game.)

Just got a "It's Game Day, get ready for tonight ....!!!" message from the club app.

Has the social media team been sacked? 🤪

I didn't get the text, but it's on facebook now

Apparently the team bus is on the outskirts of Geelong, players and coach want to get the game over and done with to free up the weekend.

It's a good plan.... until we inevitably kick a point, and there's no Cats to kick it in! 😆

Same. Was in a work meeting with a bulldogs supporting colleague and we agreed that if we start tonight without Geelong, we might win! Hence the message.

In regards to the Treloar statement, personal abuse of the players is never ok. Neither is physical abuse. But grown men getting yelled at and being able to walk away from it while getting paid $500,000+ per year….in a past career, I was 21, getting verbally, personally abused to my face, unable to walk away and getting paid $21 an hour for the privilege. I know which I would have preferred…
I was nowhere near the race last week so I heard nothing. Most people were just silent around me.

Agreed, that clip didn't really have any personal abuse, bad look for the blokes doing it as they are most likely husbands/dads and they should just relax a bit but the players in my opinion are being a bit precious in this instance. Again any direct personal insults or anything being thrown etc.... is absolutely not on.

A lot of talk about Rowan Marshall overtaking English for the All Australian ruck spot. Think Tim may miss out without a dominate performance/finals berth this weekend.
Good. Probably saves us a little bit of cap in bonuses. Dane Swan let slip in his last years in the system that he got $50k extra for an AA jumper.

If we were Collingwood or any of the other big clubs there would be no suggestion for our younger players to look elsewhere.
They did lose a first rounder to Geelong last year (Ollie Henry) and I'm fairly sure there was a bit of Grundy agitation when Cameron started playing well in the centre.
They'll probably lose a couple of fringe types this year too - Ginnivan, Fin Macrae et al

Some still see us as a ‘feeder club’. Southampton of yesteryear in the EPL.

What annoys me is that from a recruiting perspective, we have no point of difference. Geelong offer up a lifestyle, buy in Anglesea, Lorne, Moggs Creek
(we’ll give your partner a job at cotton on Jeremy Cameron)
Or be like historically big clubs like Richmond/Essendon/Carlton/Collingwood who are able to recruit based on name alone. Even Tom Boyd who I love and respect, talks of how he had no idea the whitten oval was on the other side of the westgate….. and we had to pay ridiculous overs for him. Despite the inner west appearing to be more desirable, we still have few players that live there (Libba, the only one I know of).

I thought after 2016 Bevo would be the point of difference…. jerry Macguire style with players lining up to be represented by him. We couldn’t even land Michael Hurley!!!!

And then to have players from these teams state that players should explore their options is infuriating.
