Only deal Eagles should consider is pick 1 for pick 2 & 3 IF North get the McKay compo.

Reid for Curtain and McKercher.

Take it or leave it North.

I actually can't wait to draft McKercher. What a player.

North needs another 180cm mid with a top pick, yeah?

Purely based on the likelihood McKay is band one, if we take Curtin we'll very likely take McKercher. He's got tools to play wing and half back rotating through the middle and that is an area of need. What are the other options? Won't be Duursma as we have a dearth of that type of player and I'm not sure Watson is a pick 3 in this draft (though would be in the conversation).

Would have been a different scenario I guess if we'd held 1.

There's also the element keeping him and Sanders together makes total sense also, if that plays out too.

Yeah won't happen. Twomey stated looks like pick 2 and ports 1st pick to WCE for pick 1.

Only slide down 1 spot, get their local boy, and points wise are surplus 500-700 points depending on how Port go in finals

team america vomit GIF

i don't much get that tbh.
Reid looks like a lock as the best player from this draft and possibly last years too.
Eagles can retain vic talent better than most.

I got last year. Ginbey and Hewett v one of Sheezel, Wardlaw, Tsatas made sense to me (i'd have happily done that trade if it was on offer)
Reid looks far too good to split for less obvious selections. IMO anyway
Yeah i hope they draft reid, can play anywhere and kill it.

PMBangers Who is the best prospect outside of the top 10 in this years draft as a hard running enforcer? By enforcer I mean highly competitive, aggressive and love throwing their weight around.

I feel this is the outcome the AFL will most want engineered.

WC: Curtain & McKercher
North: Reid & Sanders (academy application approved)

2 kids each from the top 8 with the No.1 pick and Vic boy Reid going to the serial basket case North. WC get the WA boy Curtain.

Seems the most equitable ‘secret sauce’ result for both struggling clubs.
How does that actually happen. If we end up with band 1 for Ben and get picks 2-3 we are not trading away picks 2 and three for pick 1

Not many prospects play like that any more, I guess Tholstrup fits the bill in a way

Any player ever fell of a cliff as much as Moir?

My thinking is he still makes it in the top 25 as I cant see Richmond not wanting a small forward with pick 25
188 cm is a new definition of small!

but there's guys like this every year, Lemmey the most recent one from 2022. Combination of not developing/ improving on field, injury issues, possibly struggles with the attention, and of course the fact most people will focus on the positives exclusively for bottom agers. I reckon he'll probably still go top 30 so I'm with you on that one, the talent is still there and the areas for improvement on field will naturally be focused on at AFL level, it'll be about his appetite and drive for how far he goes

Jed Hagan the biggest for me since following this stuff.

From being a possible No. 1 prospect 2-3 years ago to missing out all together.

I think that's just more a reflection on the difference between recruiter and amateur opinions tbh

Caleb Windsor went undrafted in the mid season phantom draft which I was kind enough to point out at the time- how high do you think he can go now?
ps I get plenty wrong and I enjoy your insights

I think he'll end up going first round this year, with the importance of speed, endurance and use by foot at an all time high his sort are highly wanted
